Ella Todd Dunn-Roskos, 89, Of Smethport
Ella Todd DUNN-ROSKOS, 89, of Smethport, PA, died Sunday, July 5, 2026 in her home. Born November 17, 1936, in Port Allegany, she was the daughter of Russell L. and Kathryn Clark Todd.
On October 22, 2001, she married Raymond J. Roskos, who predeceased her on October 29, 2019. A 1954 graduate of Port Allegany High School, she was employed by Bell Telephone Company and Keystone Automatic Technologies, Inc. in Emporium. Ella was a member Port Allegany Moose Lodge #460 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit #976 in Crosby.
Surviving are: four children, Dianne Weaver (Fred) Eaton of Smethport, Todd (Jill Hoch) Weaver of Smethport, Shane E. (Cheri Frame) Dunn of Smethport, and Jasen A. (Bridget) Dunn of Bradford; nine grandchildren, Hannah Dunn, Carson Dunn, Graysen Dunn, Lily (Colin Ryan) Lewis, Kyley (Nick Colley) Weaver, Garrett (Alexandra Yasurek) Weaver, Bridgett Fowler, Brett (Marissa) Sircy, and David Eaton; four great-grandchildren Layla Fowler, Nora Fowler, Krew Weaver, and Kasen Weaver; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Ray, she was predeceased by three brothers, Norrace L. Todd, George R. Todd, and Lowell C. Todd.

Robert Eugene Cobb, Sr., Of Bradford
Robert Eugene Cobb, Sr., passed away on July 4th, 2026 while living with his daughter; after a brief illness with cancer.
Born on July 15, 1938 to Albert T. Cobb and Lois Cornelius Cobb Austin.
Bob attended Bradford Area Schools; then served four years with the United
States Army.
He was a supervisor at Owens Illinois/Georgia Pacific and later retired from the Bradford Area School District as a bus driver.
Bob was a lifetime member of the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bradford Eagles FOE #2432 and the Bradford American Legion Post #108. He also attended the West Branch Global Methodist Church.
Bob is survived by his companion of 40 years, Virginia Wonsettler; two daughters, Debbora Fay and Martha (Bruce) Kightlinger; two sons, Robert (Maricella) Cobb, Jr. and Brian (Janna) Cobb; five brothers, Donald Cobb, Sr., Ted Cobb, Patrick (Ceil) Cobb, Tim (Grace) Cobb, Douglas (Debbie) Cobb; one sister, Martha (Ed) Oertly; grandchildren, Michael H. Fay, Jr., Melissa Fay, Mallory Fay, Daniell Hicks, Katie Tyger, Jennifer Mosley, Robert Lyle Cobb, Isabel Cobb, Cameron Cobb, Shelina Cross, Dillan Cobb and Kayla Cobb; great grandchildren, Justin Hicks, Kali Tyger, Kenzi Tyger, Andrew Cox, Jay Newcombe, Leia Kightlinger, Ella Mosley, Evan Cross, Lyanna Cross, Colter Scanlon and Charlotte Scanlon.

Elaine Marie (Fenice) Buttery, 76, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through all who knew her.
Born on January 26, 1950, to Guido and Elizabeth “Betty” (Friday) Fenice, Elaine lived a life centered around the people she loved most. She was the beloved wife of Eugene “Clyde” Buttery, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories, laughter, unwavering partnership, and love. Together, they built a beautiful family and a life filled with devotion, resilience, and countless cherished moments.
Their love story was one that inspired those around them. One of Elaine’s favorite memories of Clyde was his “dancing era,” a memory that always brought a smile to her face and laughter to those around her. Their song was “Unchained Melody,” the song they shared as their wedding song and one that remained close to Elaine’s heart throughout her life, carrying with it countless treasured memories of the life they built together. They loved spending time together, frequently going on short jaunts and shopping trips. You could always count on going by their house and seeing them sitting on their porch together loving each other’s company.
Beverly A. Housler, 94, Of Bradford
Beverly A. Housler, 94 formerly of Erickson Drive Bradford passed away Saturday July 4, 2026, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born February 10, 1932, in Mt Jewett, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Alberta (Digel) Burdick.
Beverly was a 1950 graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and a 1953 graduate of the Bradford Hospital School of Nursing.
On October 3, 1953, at the Mt Jewett United Methodist Church she married Claude E. Housler Jr. who preceded her in death on December 21,2002.
Beverly was a Registered Nurse at Bradford Hospital, beginning her career in 1953 and later at the Bradford Regional Medical Center. She was also the bookkeeper for her husband’s Oil Field Contracting business for many years.
Beverly was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church.
Beverly and Claude enjoyed traveling and were members of the 40 Coachmen Travel Club. She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army and the Elf Fund. She was a quilter and member of the Kinzua Quilters Group, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving is one daughter Deborah L. (Fred) Moore of Victor NY, three sons, Stephen E. (Denise) Housler of Bradford, Bruce M. (Wanita) Housler of Gifford and Timothy A. (Iva) Housler of Girard, one sister Patricia (the late Robert) Lineman of Bradford, and one brother Wade (the late Penny) Burdick of LaPointe IN, eight grandchildren and 18 great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 10am to noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main Street. where funeral service will be held at noon following calling hours with Rev. Jay Tennies, Pastor of the Hill Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Committal Services and burial will be in Mt Nebo Cemetery Mt Jewett.

Mary Jane Pecora, 95, Of Bradford
Mary Jane Pecora, 95, formerly of W. Washington Street Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at The Pavilion @ BRMC.
Born February 22, 1931, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Alice (Franklin) Curcio. She attended Bradford High School.
Mary Jane was employed for nearly 25 years at F. W. Woolworth Department Store as a bookkeeper.
Mary Jane was a member of the St. Bernard Church.
Surviving is one daughter, Jeanne (Bill) Herold, of Bixby, OK, three grandchildren, William C. Herald, Christopher L. Herold and Jacob M. Wareham, four great-grandchildren. Austin Herold, Jersey Herold, Brooklyn Herold and Gabriel Herold and two great-great grandchildren, Bodie and Lilah, one brother, Paul (Mary Ann) Curcio, Jr., of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Wareham, one grandson, Richard Allen Wareham, three brothers, John Curcio, James Curcio and Tony Curcio.
Private services will be held for the family at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. with entombment to follow in St. Bernard Mausoleum.

Craig L. Campbell, 69, Bradford
Craig L. Campbell, 69, of Russell Blvd., Bradford, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Olean General Hospital.
Born October 17, 1956, in Bradford he was the son of the late Malcolm F. and Gloria K (Paynter) Campbell. He was a 1974 graduate of Bradford High School and attended Mansfield State College.
Craig was a professional painter and wallpaper hanger starting in high school with his father Malcolm. He worked alongside his father until his death in 2005 and continued his trade oftentimes working with his friend James “Tubby” Maduri. His career in Bradford spanned over 50 years.
On June 21, 1988, in Bradford he married Nancy T. (Borsa) Martin Campbell who preceded him in death on February 27, 2015.
Craig was a former member of VFW, American Legion, and the Italian Club.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and entertaining friends on Russell Blvd.
Surviving are two sisters, Kathy Jo (Paul) Speranza, of Endicott NY, and Natalie A. (Dr Robert A.) Norris, of Columbus OH, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Tyler Martin.
No public services will be observed. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Coudersport Rotary Learns the Story Behind the Club’s Founding
At the June 29, 2026, meeting of the Coudersport Rotary Club, held at the A&W West End Grill, members took a fascinating journey into the club’s own history through a presentation by guest speaker Jane Heimel-Metzger.
Heimel-Metzger, who retired from Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in 2008, continues to pursue her passion for writing and local history. As the granddaughter of Coudersport Rotary founder William Delos “Golly” Fish, she shared the remarkable story of how her grandfather helped establish the Rotary Club of Coudersport more than a century ago.
Fish was co-owner and publisher of The Potter Enterprise and was deeply committed to strengthening the Coudersport community. In the summer of 1923, while having lunch at the Yellow Bowl Tea Room, he struck up a conversation with a traveling Rotarian. Inspired by what he learned about Rotary’s mission of community service, Fish contacted Rotary International to determine whether a town the size of Coudersport could support a club. Describing the encounter years later, Fish wrote, “A Rotary seed found fertile soil in Coudersport in the summer of 1923. It fell but did not germinate until early in 1924. It then took root and quickly became a healthy plant.”
Working with members of the Wellsville Rotary Club, Fish organized local business and community leaders, and on March 31, 1924, the Rotary Club of Coudersport officially received its charter. The club’s first meeting was held in the pavilion at Mitchell Park, marking the beginning of more than 100 years of service to the Coudersport community.
Heimel-Metzger also shared the story of her grandfather’s attendance at the 1924 Rotary International Convention in Toronto, where he represented the newly chartered Coudersport club as its delegate. Because the club had only recently been organized, Fish became the youngest Rotary delegate at the convention. A historic photograph featuring the convention’s youngest and oldest delegates was published in Rotary Magazine, bringing national recognition to Coudersport.
Throughout his life, Fish chronicled the people, businesses, and events that shaped Potter County through his weekly newspaper column. He believed a hometown newspaper was more than just a source of news, writing, “It is the close personal touch that makes the weekly newspaper the institution it is in the hearts and minds of readers.” That same commitment to community inspired his work with Rotary and many other civic organizations.
William Delos Fish passed away in 1969 at the age of 94, but his vision lives on through the Rotary Club of Coudersport, which continues to serve the community more than 100 years after its founding.
Rotarians thanked Heimel-Metzger for preserving and sharing this important chapter of the club’s history, reminding members of the vision, leadership, and spirit of service that have guided Coudersport Rotary since 1924.

UPMC Williamsport Unveils Expanded Cardiac Rehabilitation Space with Ribbon Cutting
Williamsport, Pa., July 2, 2026 – A program that helps heart patients rebuild both strength and confidence now has a space designed to match its impact. UPMC Williamsport recently celebrated the completion of a major renovation and expansion of its Cardiac Rehabilitation gym with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The upgraded space provides a safer, more efficient environment for patients recovering from heart attacks, surgery, and other cardiac conditions. The program offers personalized, medically supervised exercise plans led by nurses and an exercise physiologist.
Galeton Celebrates the Nation’s Birthday
Galeton Celebrates the Nation’s Birthday – Despite the rain during the day and evening, the Galeton Fireworks Committee again wowed the Galeton community and the thousands of visitors who came to Galeton for their 4th of July fireworks display. The surrounding area of the lake was lined with cars, as were the grassy areas where blankets and tents were placed to view the event. Every imaginable area in Galeton was used as a parking area for the visitors. This annual event is held on the first Saturday of July, and this year, it was helping the nation celebrate its 250th birthday – Happy birthday, America!
