UPMC Awards Scholarships to Students Pursuing Health Care Careers

Coudersport, Pa., June 23, 2026 – Three students pursuing careers in health care have been selected to receive 2026 scholarship awards through UPMC, supported by the Cole Foundation and longstanding community scholarship funds. The awards recognize students for their academic achievement, character, dedication, and commitment to caring for others.
Autumn Haggard received the 2026 UPMC Cole Allied Health Professional Scholarship and plans to attend King’s College this fall after being accepted into its Physician Assistant Program. Haggard also was named the recipient of the Dr. George and Doris Mosch Scholarship, a $1,000 award established in 1998 by the former Cole Memorial Hospital to honor Dr. Mosch’s 50 years of dedicated health care service to the Coudersport community. This scholarship is presented to a graduating Coudersport Area High School senior with the highest GPA who plans to pursue a degree in medicine or another health-related field at a Pennsylvania college or university.
Terra Dozier received the 2026 UPMC Cole Nursing Scholarship and plans to attend West Virginia University this fall to pursue nursing.
Aliyah DiPilato received the Dr. Moises and Eileen Cruz Scholarship, a $1,000 award established in 1999 by the former Cole Memorial Hospital to recognize Dr. Cruz and his wife, Eileen, for their dedication to the hospital and the community. The scholarship is presented to a graduating Coudersport Area High School senior pursuing a health-related field who demonstrates strong academic achievement, admirable character, and a genuine concern for others. DiPilato plans to attend Purdue University to study biology and chemistry.
“These scholarships are an investment in students who have already shown the academic commitment, character, and compassion needed in health care,” said Ron Reynolds, president, UPMC Cole and UPMC Wellsboro. “Autumn, Terra, and Aliyah each represent the promise of the next generation of health care, and it is meaningful to honor them through scholarship funds rooted in service to this community.”
