On Thursday, Oct. 26th at 1400 hrs Mckean County 911 dispatched Stations 19, 15 and 21 for a wild fire off Rt. 59 near Klondike Rd. Chief 15 (D. Burkhouse) met an oil field worker to guide him to the area of the fire. The tactical command was established while scene size-up was conducted. FF 1517 (J. Bradish) was the command. Chief 1520 (T. Burkhouse) took operations on the right flank and started a direct attack. Chief 21-10 (R. Mitchell) took operations on the left flank. Within 2 hours the fire was contained. Station 6 was requested for assistance as well as ANF personnel. The fire was declared out at 1700 hrs and was determined to affect 5 acres. All units were out of the woods and available by 1730 hrs.
