HARRISBURG, Pa. (December 1) – A year’s worth of angling adventure awaits when you purchase your 2025 Pennsylvania fishing license, permits, or gift vouchers — on sale today!
Beginning December 1, 2024, fishing licenses, permits, and vouchers for the upcoming 2025 season can be purchased through the HuntFishPA online portal on the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) website (Fishandboat.com), on your smartphone using the FishBoatPA mobile app, or by visiting one of nearly 700 retail license issuing agents. 2025 licenses, permits, and vouchers purchased now are valid immediately for up to 13 months, from December 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025.

Cameron County Christmas Parade is set for Friday, December 6. It will step off at 7pm from the former Fourth Grade School on East Fourth Street. Parade organizers have added a judges stand which will be a prime location for parade watchers.

COUDERSPORT, PA—Donald J. “Donnie” Crosby, 74, of Coudersport, formerly of Austin, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Born on Thursday, July 13, 1950 in Buffalo, NY, he was a son of Maynard J. and Millard “Millie” Abbott Crosby.
EllaMae “Ellie” Bockus, 74, of Middlebury Center, PA

EllaMae “Ellie” Bockus, 74, of Middlebury Center, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Guthrie Corning Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1950, in Blossburg, daughter of the late Charles E. Haner and Florence (Crawford) Gleason. She married James Roland Bockus on August 2, 1969, and has celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Ellie graduated from Corning West High School, Class of 1969. She worked at the Sherwood Motel and in the cafeteria for the Wellsboro School District. Ellie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wellsboro. She enjoyed working with small children, gardening, nature and bird watching, riding motorcycles with her husband, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ellie is survived by a son: James M. (Lisa) Bockus of Erin, NY; a daughter: Jennifer L. (Jimmie) Leach of Wellsboro; a sister, Annie Monroe of Elmira, NY; an aunt, Jean Pier of Wellsboro; grandchildren: Samantha, Joey, Parker, and Hailie, step-granddaughter, Lauren Russen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Haner, a stepbrother, Pat Collins, and nephews, Chuck and Mike.
At Ellie and her family’s request, the services and burial will be private.
The family suggest memorial contributions in Ellie’s name be made to the Guthrie Corning Cancer Center, 2 Guthrie Dr., Corning, NY 14830.

Betty L. Crouse, 94, of Bradford, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was born on January 29, 1930 in Bradford, the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth Abbey Stromberg.
She was a 1947 graduate of the Bradford Senior High School. She earned her nursing certificate from the former Bradford Hospital School of Nursing in 1950.

Linda L. Howard, 81, of Russell, Pa, formerly of Neiltown, Pa, died on Saturday November 23, 2024, in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, Pa.
She was born in Pleasantville, on December 21, 1942, the daughter of the late Maxwell and Eva (Stone) Dunham. Linda was a graduate of West Forest High School and attended nursing school in Oil City.
