Smethport – Patricia L. Hargraves, 85, of Smethport, passed away Tuesday (August 11, 2026) at UPMC-Hamot, Erie.

She was born June 20, 1941 in Kane, PA, the daughter of Francis and Grace (Trumbull) McGee. On December 23, 1977, in Smethport, PA, she married George E. Hargraves, who died November 22, 2000.

She was a graduate of Smethport High School and was employed as a nurse aide at The Pavilion at Bradford Hospital, as well as for home healthcare.

Patricia loved to play Bingo.

She is survived by:

Three sons: Michael Haynes of Smethport, Wayne Haynes of Mt. Jewett and Lane Haynes of Bradford.

Many grandchildren, several great grandchildren

One sister: Beverly Coon of Kane

And several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Haynes, and a son, Jimmie Haynes.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 14 at 11am from the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, with the Rev. Max Simms, officiating. Burial will be in the Norwich Cemetery, Colegrove.
