Mark Murray Miller of Roulette, PA passed away at Buffalo General Medical Center following a stroke, on August 15, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on May 12, 1951, and raised in Colden, NY. He was the second child born to the late Richard and Shirley Miller of Springville, NY.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, married for almost 52 years. PROUD and loving father to three daughters: Regina McCartney-Mackay(Jeremy), Nicole Jenette Miller(Steve), Mindy Elniski(Pete). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Thane, Erik, Carter, Katrina, Bryce, and Grant, who lovingly called him “EE”.
Also surviving are 5 siblings: Margo, Marie(Rich), Marla(Jim), Marlon, Martin(Patty).

Rolland L. Corbin, 80, North Street, Limestone, NY, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Born January 26, 1945, in Del Rio, TX, he was a son of the late Lloyd F. and Alice C. (Perry) Corbin.
He was a 1964 graduate of Limestone Union Free School, where he excelled as a high scoring star basketball player and participated in track and field.
On September 13, 1965, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Camp Casey, Korea where he worked in the adjacent office until his honorable discharge in 1967. He returned to school and earned an associate’s degree from the Olean Business Institute.
Rolland was employed at Clark Brothers in Olean, NY as an accountant until 1972. He then worked for Cattaraugus County as an in-house auditor clerk until his retirement in December 2009 for a total of 37 years.

Dennis S. Guido, 82, of 390 South Kersey Road, Kersey, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born December 26, 1942, in Tyler, PA, son of the late Ralph and Rose Marie Giardino Guido. He was a graduate of Huston Township High School, a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Company, and a long-time bus driver with Anthony Muccio School Transportation.
On September 27, 1969, in the St. Boniface Church, Denny married Kathryn Luchini, who survives.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY URGES MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO CONTACT POLICE WITH ANY INFO TO ASSIST POLICE IN INVESTIGATION INTO CHILD’S DEATH
District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer is asking for the public to provide all information they have to assist Police in the investigation into the death of a young boy in Bradford last week. Bradford City Police and the District Attorney’s Office/County Detectives have received tips that are being (or have already been) pursued and she urges that ALL tips be provided to police.
The best way to provide tips is by calling the City of Bradford Police at (814) 887-4911 and speaking directly to an officer. Chief Michael Ward and Detective Mark Deluca are the primary investigators on the case. If you have ANY information about this child – including his care, circumstances surrounding his death or injuries, or anything else related to his welfare- you are urged to call. All tips will be followed up on. The investigation is ongoing.
Tyler PRESCOTT has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. His bail was set at $1 million. An initial preliminary hearing conference/central court conference scheduled for tomorrow has been continued by the judge to a full preliminary hearing to be held at the courthouse on September 12th. Additional charges are pending the results of the investigation, including the results of the autopsy.

Joseph Hugo Gasbarre, 74, of Ridgway, passed away after a brief illness on August 17, 2025. Born in Ridgway, he was the son of the late George P. Gasbarre and Nellie (Mann) Gasbarre.
On August 30, 1975, he married Constance Duell at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg. They shared 32 happy years together and raised two children, Joseph (Shannon) and Matthew (Connie). Constance preceded him in death in 2007.

Natale M. Redmond, 17, of Roulette, PA, found eternal peace on Friday (August 15, 2025) in an automobile accident in Port Allegany.
She was born December 16, 2007 in Coudersport, PA, the daughter of RuBen and Melissa (Windsor) Redmond.
Natale was an excellent student at Port Allegany High School and Otto-Eldred FFA chapter. She was referred by her teachers that she was one of the students that made the class better. She also had big dreams and big plans but was always willing to help. She would have been a senior of the Class of 2026.
Natale was a delighted member of County Line 4H and an overjoyed member of FFA at Otto-Eldred. She was a humbled member of the Sartwell Creek Union Church.
Natale adored and loved her siblings with all her heart. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was delighted in helping people in need and her animals were her world. Natale enjoyed hunting in the great outdoors with her family. She relished going to school and school was a very important part of her life. Her smile and laugh would brighten anyone’s day. She never hesitated to help anyone. Natale’s heart was so big and full of love. There is no doubt Jesus was in her heart and she walked with him. Her memory will never be forgotten and she will remain forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her parents, RuBen and Melissa Redmond of Roulette.
Three brothers: RuBen (Shelby) Redmond, Jr. of Clermont, Levi (Ashley) Redmond of Port Allegany, and Maeson Redmond of Roulette.
Three sisters: Grayce, Abby & Bella Redmond of Roulette.
Paternal grandmother: Shirley Redmond of Roulette.
Maternal grandparents: Matt & Cheryl Windsor of Turtlepoint.
And many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Fred Redmond and uncle Lew Windsor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 23 at 11AM from the Sartwell Creek Union Church, Sartwell Creek Road, with the Rev. Allen Long, pastor, officiating.

Jim was born in Bradford, on December 18, 1978, he was the only son of James F. Lee, Sr., of Bradford and the late Sheila Diane (Reed) Lee, who preceded him in death on July 6, 2014.
Jim attended Bradford High School.

The challenge, generously sponsored by longtime Potter County resident and philanthropist Wanda Shirk, aims to strengthen local nonprofits and meet the county’s most urgent needs. Every donation made to the Potter County Community Impact Fund during the match period will be doubled, turning $50 into $100, and $500 into $1,000. These matched donations can help support a wide range of vital community services in Potter County, including basic needs and crisis relief, health and mental health care, youth and education programs, and community and economic development. Potter County Impact Funds also make it possible to support vulnerable populations, enhance public safety, promote arts and culture, and protect the environment and animal welfare, providing fast, flexible aid wherever it’s needed most.

Richard J. Smith, 78, formerly of Looker Mountain Trail, Rixford, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Bradford Manor.
Born February 19, 1947, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Richard C. and Anne E. Smith.
Richard attended Bradford schools and was a 1965 graduate from Mira Loma High School, in Sacramento, CA. He worked for the United States Postal Service in CA. He later was enlisted into the United States Marine Corp in January of 1967. He was honorably discharged on December 12, 1972, and returned to work at the Post Office.

Janet L. Detweiler, 90, formerly of Fernwood Drive, Bradford, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born November 23, 1934, in Perkasie PA, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Louise (Reese) Haring. She was a 1954 graduate of Sell-Perk High School and later graduated from Lansdale Business School in 1954.
While in high school, Janet worked for two summers at the Atlantic City Boardwalk. After she graduated from business school she worked as a secretary at G.H. Brown Automotive in Perkasie.
On September 18, 1954, in Perkasie, PA, she married the late Ralph F. Detweiler who preceded her in death on April 12, 2022.

Cool Beans: Neal Crowned Champion
PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. — On Saturday, August 16th, at an undisclosed location in Port Allegany, Trevor “Beans” Neal, a 2013 graduate of Port Allegany High School, was officially crowned the 2024 Not Latrobe League Fantasy Football Champion. His road was anything but simple. After a drama-filled draft last August, Beans navigated tough choices and key moves to rise above the competition. “It’s hard to go back-to-back,” Beans said after the ceremony. “But I didn’t wake up this morning and choose to lie down and let my league mates walk all over me. My destiny is to go back-to-back, so everyone in this league is now on notice.”
The evening featured Turtlepoint native Joshua McNeil, who once again took on auctioneer duties with skill and style. The Not Latrobe League has grown into one of the most exclusive clubs in the area, with a waiting list for those hoping to join.
