Ed Vicic Shares Vision for Heritage Hall 1787 with Coudersport Rotary

At the July 13, 2026, meeting of the Coudersport Rotary Club at A&W West End Grill, Rotarian Julie Jeffers introduced guest speaker Ed Vicic, owner of Eddie’s on Main and the newly established Heritage Hall 1787 in Turtle Point.
A proud Port Allegany native, Vicic attended Kutztown University before living in Philadelphia and Rehoboth Beach. Drawn back to his roots in Potter County, he has built a business centered on hospitality, community, and celebration.
Eddie’s on Main has become known throughout the Twin Tiers as an eclectic restaurant offering lunch, dinner, creative chef’s features, and extensive catering services. Those experiences, along with hosting specially curated events, inspired Vicic’s newest venture—Heritage Hall 1787.
“To have the fortune of celebrating people is truly a gift,” Vicic told Rotarians, explaining the philosophy that has guided his work.
Vicic believes in creating what you want rather than waiting for it to happen. That vision led to the purchase of Carlson’s General Store, a landmark that faithfully served the Turtle Point community for more than 100 years. Reimagined as Heritage Hall 1787, the historic building is still a work in progress as it is transformed into a dedicated event venue designed to honor its rich past while creating new memories for generations to come.
When completed, Heritage Hall 1787 will offer a warm, character-filled setting for weddings, private celebrations, community events, and cultural gatherings. The building continues to house the community’s U.S. Post Office, preserving an important piece of local history. It also hosts monthly Coffee Klatches, with the next gathering scheduled for Saturday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, providing an opportunity for neighbors and visitors to enjoy coffee, conversation, and fellowship.
Looking to the future, Vicic shared his hope that the nearby railroad tracks may one day support excursion train rides, creating another unique attraction for the Turtle Point community.
To conclude his presentation, Vicic treated each Rotarian to a sample of one of Eddie’s on Main’s signature chocolate chip cookies along with a bottle of his orange ginger seasoning salt, cautioning that “a little goes a long way.”
Rotarians thanked Vicic for sharing his passion for preserving local history while creating welcoming spaces where people can gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories.
