Bradford Block Party Welcomes Pitt-Bradford students to the Community

The Bradford Town and Gown (BT&G) Committee invites residents, families, alumni and local businesses to welcome University of Pittsburgh at Bradford students to the community at the ‘Welcome Back Students Block Party’, scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, at Veterans Square in downtown Bradford.
“Pitt-Bradford students bring energy and enthusiasm to the Bradford area,” said Christine Tyler, Co-Chair of the BT&G Committee and Executive Director of Philanthropy and Engagement at Pitt-Bradford. “It is exciting to see Bradford welcome new students, reconnect with returning students and strengthen the ties between the university and the wider community.”
The block party will feature live music by Marshmellow Overcoat, food vendors, lawn games, trivia and raffle prizes.
“We want Pitt-Bradford students and community members to get to know one another,” added Jessie Kerr, who also serves as Co-Chair of the BT&G Committee as well as Marketing Coordinator with the Bradford Area Alliance. “Bringing everyone together downtown is a simple but meaningful way to continue building those connections.”
The event is open to the public.
Event updates are available through the Bradford Town and Gown Committee’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bradfordtownandgown/. For more information or to contact the committee directly, interested parties are encouraged to reach out to the co-chairs via email at bfdtowngown@gmail.com.
