Spooky Season Book Bingo Reading Challenge: Looking for a fun way to start your spooky season reading? The library is having a book bingo reading challenge for October! Pick up a bingo sheet at the library and start your reading! Once you get a bingo, bring the sheet to the library or email it to ovmlibrary@gmail.com by Friday, October 31st, for your name to be entered into a prize drawing! The bingo sheet can also be found on our website under the “Reading Challenges” tab for download or emailed to you.

Kids Art Class: Join us at the library on Saturday, October 18th, at 10:00 am for an acrylic painting class! Limited seating is available. Please call or stop in at the library to sign up! This program is for ages 6-11. 814-697-6691.

Adult Macrame Class: Join us on Tuesday, October 21st, at 4:30 pm to learn the art of macrame! Limited seating is available. Please call or stop in to sign up! 814-697-6691.

Noah’s Ark Halloween Workshop & Story: Join us on Saturday, October 25th, at 2:00 pm for a story and to create your own cuddly Halloween creature! Limited seating is available! Please call or stop in to sign up! When signing up, please specify which creature you are signing up for. The choices are Whisper the Ghost or Tricks Teddy Monster. 814-697-6691.

Office of the Aging Appointments: The Office of the Aging will be here on Tuesday, October 28th, starting at 12:30 pm, for appointments regarding Medicare questions. Appointments will need to be made through the Office of the Aging. 814-554-7315.

Daycare Story Hour: The library will have a story hour on Friday mornings starting at 10:00 am for any children aged 0-5. Please call or stop in at the library with any questions! 814-697-6691.

Homeschool Hangout:  On the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, we will have a Homeschool Hangout starting at 1:00 pm. Our goal for this program is to give homeschool families in the area a chance to get together to see what other families are learning, incorporate the library into some of those lessons, and have fun.

The Book Discussion Group meets at the library on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:30 am. The date for this month is October 9th. All are invited to participate. Books are provided by the Potter-Tioga Library System.

Stitch Together: Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, needlework,  and chatting while you work? (Or chatting and not getting much of your project done?) Join us at the library on Thursdays and Saturdays starting at 1:30 pm. The dates for this month are Thursday, October 2nd, 16th, & 30th, and Saturday, October 11th.

Monthly Newsletter: You can now subscribe through our website to receive our monthly newsletter! Simply visit our website at ovmlibrary.org, scroll to the bottom of the home page, and fill out the form!

Website: You can search the card catalog by visiting our website at ovmlibrary.org. You can also log into your account and renew the books you have out or put a book on reserve.

Board of Directors Meeting: The monthly board meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm. The date for this month is Wednesday, October 29th, at 1:00 pm. This is a schedule change for this month. The public is encouraged to attend.
