Patricia A. “Sis” Friedl, 80, a lifelong resident of Austin

Patricia A. “Sis” Friedl “beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister”
Patricia A. “Sis” Friedl, 80, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away with her loving family by her side in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, on Monday, May 11, 2026, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on Monday, April 29, 1946 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of John and Jane Housler Dynda. On June 4, 1977 in the Austin United Methodist Church, she married Raymond A. “Fritz” Friedl, who passed away on August 30, 2020.
Sis was a graduate of Austin Area High School and a graduate of St. Bonaventure University. She was first employed by the former Marvin’s Powdered Metals in Austin. After earning her degree in nursing, she was employed at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Coudersport until her retirement.
Sis was “a heck of a Bingo player”. She was a member of Austin VFW Post 7810 Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling in the Coudersport Bowling League. Her greatest loves were her beloved husband and her family.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Lyle R. Dynda of Austin and David J. (Paula) Marsh of Coudersport; six grandchildren, Robert “Bob” (Jennifer Waite) Dynda, Nathan Scott Dynda, Jonathan “Jed” Dynda, Katarina “Kat” Dynda, Josh Marsh, and Travis Marsh; five great-grandchildren, Hailie Marsh, Akacia Dynda, Aizlynn Dynda, Kaivan Dynda, and Kajor Dynda; two brothers, Jim Dynda of Shinglehouse and John (Judy) Dynda of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sis was predeceased by a sister, Diane Gross.
A celebration of Sis’ life will be held at the Austin VFW Post 7810, 293 Costello Avenue, Austin, on a date and time to be announced.

Sis’ family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
