Linda M. Hurd “beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister”
CLARA, PA—Linda M. Hurd, 61, of Clara, passed away with her loving family by her side on Friday, May 9, 2025, in the Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY, after a short illness.
Born on Tuesday, July 2, 1963, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Lawrence and Sophia Denhoff Snyder. On September 25, 1982 in the Hebron Union Church, Hebron Center, she married John P. Hurd, who survives.
Donald E. Geneski, age 69, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
He was born on January 23, 1956 in Blossburg, PA, a son of the late Walter and Rose (Jelliff) Geneski. Don was a self-employed carpenter for most of his life and enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, going to rock concerts and his muscle cars.
As Correctional Officers’ Week concludes, we would like to recognize the work of our law enforcement partners in Corrections. Law enforcement members include police, probation and parole, and corrections.
These professionals handle different stages of the criminal justice system – investigation and arrest; incarceration; and supervision. Many area residents are in Corrections, employed by the McKean County Jail, FCI-McKean, Potter County Jail, Warren County Jail, and SCI Forest State Penitentiary.

Patrick was born March 21, 1950, in St. Marys, son of the late James and Rita Thiel Murray. After graduating from Elk County Christian High School in 1968, he went on to become a Civil Engineer.

Rose L. Bond Hager, 89, of Bradford, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 29, 1935, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Doris (Talerico) Vecellio.
Rose was a 1953 graduate of St. Bernard School.

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a roadway resurfacing project begins next week on Route 220 in the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County.
The week of Monday, May 12, 2025, the contractor, Suit-Kote Corporation, will begin road work during daylight hours. Work includes joint repairs, and preparation application of a micro-surface treatment on Route 220 between the City of Williamsport and Linden. Motorists can expect single lane conditions where work is being performed.

Lyndon D. “Lynn” Stickles, 82, of Penn Yan, New York passed away at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, New York on Thursday (May 8, 2025). He was born August 25, 1942 in Rochester, New York a son of the late J. Victor and Esther Claussen Stickles. On 07/02/94, in Penn Yan, NY he married Gina Zito, who survives.
Gary E. Woodmansee, 82, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Pavilion at BRMC.
Born on October 6, 1942, in Olean, NY he was the son of the late Eugene P. and Emma B. (Krakat) Woodmansee-Kelly. He was a 1960 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
Gary enlisted in the United States Army on September 22, 1960, and was stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge on October 14, 1963.
On November 28, 1964, in St. Bernard Church, he married Penny A. (Wilt) Woodmansee, who survives.
