Margaret K. Haley, 82, of Eldred, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.

Born on Monday, July 5, 1943 in Crosby, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Dorothy Green.  She was raised by her parents in the surrounding area along with her four siblings.  On October 25, 1963 she married her husband, James E. Haley, Sr., in a small courthouse wedding.

Margaret enjoyed several activities such as playing poker with her family, doing search-a-word puzzles, crocheting, watching her favorite old school westerns, going to the duck pond and jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving is her sister, Betty (Dinch) Gideon of New Caney, TX; her brother, Lewis Green, Jr. of Eldred, PA; her sister-in-law, Iva Green of Eldred, PA; her son, James Haley, Jr. of Bradford, PA; her daughter, Angell Haley of Eldred, PA; her grandson, Michael (Christine) Griesbaum of Bradford, PA; and many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by her son, Roland “Ronnie” Haley; her brothers, Robert Green, Sr. and Edward Green; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Green and Joan Green; her brothers-in-law, Bud Dinch and Kenneth Gideon; a niece; four nephews; several cousins and her longtime companion, Les Cooper.

There will be no public services.  Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, Margaret was partial to No Feline Left Behind, P.O. Box 783, Bradford, PA  16701.

Margaret’s family has entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Michael L. Mascho, funeral director/owner of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc., Bradford, PA.
