Kick Off your Summer this Memorial Day Weekend at Sinnemahoning State Park

10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. –Introduction to Archery– Have you ever wanted to give archery a try? This program will cover the basics of archery, including bow types, shooting form, and safety. Open to participants ages 10 and older, this program requires pre-registration.

3:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M –Making a Matchless Fire – Join a park educator for a hands-on lesson where you learn to make a fire without the help of matches or a lighter.
Meets at: Campground Amphitheater
8:30 P.M.-9:30 P.M –Campground Movie: A Murder of Crows – Join a park educator for a showing of the PBS Nature Documentary A Murder of Crows.

Sunday, May 24th, 2026
9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M –Fish for Free Day – Want to give fishing a try? Stop by George B. Stevenson Reservoir on Sunday May 25th and cast a line. It’s Fish for Free Day, so no fishing license is required. A park educator will be on hand to assist, and fishing rods, tackle and bait will be provided. Stop by anytime between 9 AM and 12 PM.

Sunday, May 24th, 2026
4:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. –Campground Craft: Wildlife Masks – Join a park educator and check out mounts and pelts of some the park’s wildlife then design your own mask to take home. All materials will be provided,
Additional parking is available in the extra car lot at the campground amphitheater for families who are not camping in the park.

Monday, May 25th, 2026
9:00 AM, 10:30 A.M., and 12:30 P.M. –Pontoon Tours of the Stevenson Reservoir-Join park staff for a relaxing and informative tour around the lake, as we cruise the shoreline of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir in search of wildlife. Group size is limited. To reserve a seat, please pre-register. Registration is not required but is strongly recommended.
