James R. “Jim” Pierce, 85, Formerly of Bradford

James R. “Jim” Pierce, 85, formerly of Riley Road Apts., Bradford, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at The Pavilion at BRMC.
Jim was born in Punxsutawney on July 31, 1940. He was a son of the late Lloyd and Nettie (Carlson) Pierce. He was a 1958 graduate of Salamanca High School.
Jim was employed after graduating as an ambulance driver and later at Parkview in Salamanca. He worked for 26 years as a Railroad Engineer with the Erie & Lackawanna Railroad, the B&O Railroad, the Chessie Railroad, and finally at the B&P Railroad.
He enjoyed traveling by motorhome around the country, spending time with his family, and going to the casino.
Surviving are one daughter, Lorraine (Joe) D. McCaslin, Warren, two sons, Bryan (Tina) Pierce, of Bradford, and Todd (Gail) Pierce, of NC. Six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one sister, Shirley (the late Jack) Brunner, of Bradford, and one brother, John (Linda) Pierce, of Kennedy, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ella Marie Baker.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main Street, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm with Shawn Pierce, Co-pastor of Free Spirit Redeemers Chapel Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
