FSIS Issues Public Health Alert for Meat and Poultry Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for frozen, not ready-to-eat (NRTE), meat and poultry products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The products contain sesame, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product labels. In addition, the beef product contains Worcestershire sauce that contains anchovy (fish), a known allergen, which is not declared on the product labels. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.
