Angela Marie Green (née Altieri), 76, of Freeland, Maryland, passed away on May 10, 2025. Born on December 28, 1949, in Barton, New York, Angela lived a life centered on family, teaching, and quiet acts of love that touched everyone around her.
She grew up in Sayre, Pennsylvania, and later called Galeton, Pennsylvania, home before retiring and moving to Maryland. A proud graduate of Mansfield University, Angela earned her degree in elementary education and went on to serve as a dedicated special education teacher at Northern Potter Children’s School for 34 years. Her patience, warmth, and belief in every child’s potential left a lasting impression on generations of students and their families.
After retiring, Angela moved to Freeland, Maryland, to be closer to her son, daughter in law, and grandchildren. She cherished this chapter of life, especially her shopping outings with granddaughter Megan, her engaging conversations with grandson Adam about his collegiate golf experiences, and the simple joy of reading. Those who knew her will remember her kind heart, gentle humor, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and valued.
She is survived by her son, Corey Green, and his wife, Laura of Freeland, Maryland; grandchildren Megan and Adam Green of Freeland, Maryland; and her brother, Joseph Altieri and his wife Patricia of Sayre, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Anna Altieri of Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Angela’s family will always hold dear the memories of her loving presence, her devotion to her students, and the special moments she created with those she held closest. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched through her teaching and quiet kindness.
