Mary L. Kio “Bingo!!!!!!!”
ROULETTE, PA—On Thursday, June 18, 2026, Mary Lorraine Ayers Kio died peacefully surrounded by her family.
Born on June 29, 1939 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Emma and Truman Ayers. She had 12 siblings, three of whom preceded her in death.
Mary was married on April 3, 1954 to Robert Henry Kio, who died in 2002. Together they had eight children: Lorraine A. “Lori” (deceased) (Mike) Baker, Cindy L. (Bob) Baker, David L. (Julie) Kio, James L. Kio, Joseph A. Kio (deceased), Kenneth L. (Kelly) Kio, Wade W. (Cheri) Kio, and Joyce K. (Brad) Tucker.
She was a devoted, proud, and highly protective grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
A strong woman who worked most of her life in various positions, she taught us all what family, honor, and respect was supposed to look like.
Her passion was winning at Bingo. She loved playing Bingo and visiting with her friends at the Fire Hall, but she really, really loved winning Bingo prizes and money.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Roulette Fire Hall, 12 River Street, Roulette, PA.
Mary adored flowers, so feel free to bring some or send them to the Fire Hall to help us brighten the day on the 11th.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Roulette Chemical Engine Company # 1, PO Box 172, Roulette, PA 16746.
Mary’s family entrusted her care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, Funeral Director/Owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, PA.
