Richard J. “Dick” Price, 91, Of Johnsonburg

Richard J. “Dick” Price, 91, of 516 Woodland Ave., Johnsonburg, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 31, 2025, at UPMC-Magee Women’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. He was born May 1, 1934, in Ridgway, a son to the late Vincent and Alice Nearing Price. On April 21, 1956, in Johnsonburg, he married the former Rebecca “Becky” Clyde, and she survives.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Dick was a 1952 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. He enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, tossing horseshoes, and playing cards at the senior center and with his friends and he loved playing in the men’s softball league when he was younger.
In 1996, Dick retired from Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill after 40 years of service.
In addition to his wife Becky at home, Dick is survived by his children, Elaine Vogt (Michael) of St. Marys, Richard J. Price, Jr, of Ridgway, Romaine Gezik (Michael) of James City, Robert Price (Theresa) of Gap and Christine Casolo (John, Jr.) of Ridgway, his grandchildren, Melissa, Catherine, Michael, Jr., Mandy, Greg, Ashley, Jessica, Matthew, Mark, Philip and David and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Romaine Flor (Donald) of Edison, NJ and many nieces and nephews.
Dick is predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Barbara Schlimm and Judith Schlimm.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard J. “Dick” Price, Sr., will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Monday January 5, 2026, at 10 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Friends and family will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services Chapel, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg on Sunday January 4, 2026, from 3 to 6 PM.
