Dutch Oven 101
Saturday: 7 PM - 8PM
Looking to expand the menu of your camping trips and learn a new skill? Still have a little space in your belly after dinner around the campfire? Join volunteers John and Jan Halter at the pavilion to learn the basics of Dutch oven cooking while camping. Participants will get to eat the peanut butter tea cake made during the program!
Registration is free, but not necessary. Register at bit.ly/LymanDutchOven. Registered participants will receive an update in the event of bad weather or cancellation.

Program Title: Nature Craft & Story

Date: Sunday, August 16^th

Time: 10:00 AM

Location: Environmental Learning Center

Description: Come down to the ELC and join the park educator for a short story followed by a make and take craft. This week’s topic will be turtles!

Program Title: Rainbow Rendezvous

Date: Saturday, August 22^nd

Time: 3:00 PM

Location: Environmental Learning Center

Description: Did you know that the Earth is the only planet in the solar system that has rainbows? Stop by the ELC for a short talk on rainbows and go on a rainbow scavenger hunt through the park after. Feel free to bring binoculars, a water bottle, and comfy shoes to walk in!

Program Title: Film in the Forest: Monarchs

Date: Saturday, August 22^nd

Time: 8:00 PM

Location: Campground Amphitheater

Description: Did you know that monarchs can travel up to 2,500 miles during their migration route? Join the park educator for a program on these milkweed butterflies and learn about their great migration! Short talk followed by a movie—feel free to bring snacks & a blanket!

Page to Screen Club: Join us on Monday, August 31st, at 1:00 pm to discuss the book and film, “All the Light We Cannot See,” by Anthony Doerr. The library can provide books. This is an off-site library program. The location may change each month. Please ask the librarian for more information! The Book Discussion Group meets at the library on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:30 am. The date for this month is August 13th. All are invited to participate. Books are provided by the Potter-Tioga Library System.

Stitch Together: Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, needlework, and chatting while
you work? (Or chatting and not getting much of your project done?) Join us at the
library on Thursdays and Saturdays starting at 1:30 pm. The dates for this month are Thursday, August 6th & 20th, and Saturday, August 15th & 29th.
