Timothy C. Schneider, 90, of W. Condot Road, St. Marys, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness with his family by his side.

He was born on March 19, 1936 in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Leo and Anna Mertz Schneider.

On October 6, 1956, he married Wanda Cuneo, who survives. Together they have been blessed with nearly 70 years of love and marriage.

A man of deep and unwavering faith, Tim lived his life guided by his love of God and devotion to his family. A lifelong member of St. Marys Church, he faithfully attended Mass, rarely missing a Sunday, and proudly served for many years as an usher, welcoming fellow parishioners with kindness and humility. He also dedicated more than 48 years of loyal service to North Fork Lodge before his retirement. He was a longtime member of the St. Marys Sportsmen’s Club. His happiest days were spent outdoors, whether he was crafting something with his hands, woodworking, enjoying time at camp, or tinkering around his beloved sawmill. Though he found great satisfaction in hard work and the outdoors, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family, whose love and companionship were the true center of his life.

In addition to his wife of nearly 70 years, Wanda Schneider, he is survived by nine children; Ann (Bruce) Patterson of Pittsburgh, Steven (Mary) Schneider of St. Marys, George (Karen) Schneider of St. Marys, Joseph (Cathy Hand) Schneider of St. Marys, Barb (Blain) Daniels of St. Marys, Sandra Schneider of St. Marys, Michael (Anita) Schneider of St. Marys, Connie (Jeff) Crawford of St. Marys, and Ben (Allison Meloni) Schneider of Weedville, his 25 beloved grandchildren; Becky (Gregory), Emily (Adam), Samantha (Donny), Ian (Alex), Otis, Shane (Leah), Ryan, Eric, Adam (Nicole), Daniel, Jeffery, Christina (Geritt), Casey (James), Cassie (Vincent), Julie, Kyle (Valerie), Molly (Louie), Jenna (Matthew), Angie (Will), Reggie, Franki (Tony), Mike (Kiana), Gina (Ben), and David (Jenna), Maddison (Jeff), and his 38 great-grandchildren with one on the way; Tyler, Sawyer, Dawson, Cameron, Isla, Leo, Olivia, Joey, Gus, Nora, Lydia, Jace, Violet, Scotty, Sutton, Sailor, Malia, Jayla, Marcus, Braelynn, Halle, Lainey, Vera, Louie, Josie, Ivan, Madison, Tristan, Willie, Amelia, Timmy, Peter, Caroline, Finn, Madelyn, Miles, Hazel, and Kole. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Sally Carlson in infancy and by ten siblings, his twin brother; Theodore Schneider, Orma McKeon, William Schneider, Thomas Schneider, Richard Schneider, John Schneider, Margaret Sadley, Marian Roberts, Betty Struble, and Dolores Arnold. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Timothy C. Schneider will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Church, 315 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Ignatius Camello, OSB, as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
