Sue Kay Kriner, 85, of Eldred, passed away Tuesday (July 1, 2025) at her home in Eldred.

She was born March 29, 1940 in Eldred, the daughter of Francis and Gladys (Stacy) Hopkins. On August 15, 1959 in Eldred, PA, she married Paul  J. Kriner, who died October 28, 2018.

Sue embraced the role of a stay at home mother. She was the former treasurer of Lamphier Cemetery and was a past member of the Eldred Fire Department auxiliary. 

Sue was an avid reader and bestowed that love on her entire family

She is survived by three sons; Robert A, (Cheryl) Kriner of  Eldred, PA, Steven P. (Annie) Kriner of  Duke Center, PA, and Jeffrey L. Kriner of Newark, NY.

One daughter; Paula (Floyd) Oathout of  Burgaw, NC.

Six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many step grand and great grandchildren.

One brother; Jimmy (Wendy) Hopkins of Olean, NY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son William Kriner in 2017 and two brothers Larry and Ronnie Hopkins.

There will be no visitation.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00am in Lamphier Cemetery, Eldred with the Rev. Dan Manning Officiating. 

Memorials if desired may be made to a local library of the donor’s choice.
