Sizerville State Park Environmental Education Programs Weekend of June 28th
Program Title: Stream Study
Date: Saturday, June 28th

Location: Near Pavilion 3
Description: Join the park educator to look for macroinvertebrates, like stoneflies and crayfish, in the stream, along with learning their importance. Short talk followed by exploring the stream – expect to get wet so bring along water shoes, swimsuits, and a towel!

Program Title: Pennsylvania’s Elk Herd – Guest Speaker
Date: Saturday, June 28th
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Campground Amphitheater
Description: Join PA Game Commission Elk Biologist, Jeremy Banfield, for a presentation on elk information, research, and management. Presentation will be around 30-45 minutes, and then Jeremy will take questions for the remainder of the program. Feel free to bring snacks and a blanket!

Program Title: The Woods in Three Square – Guest Presenter
Date: Sunday, June 29th
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Pavilion 2
Description: Come out to Sizerville State Park for a Black Bear layered craft workshop! The Woods in Three Square owner, Cindy Swarner, will be hosting an in-person workshop at Pavilion 2 and the park educator will be doing a short talk on PA Black Bears during the craft. No artistic talent required—join us to make your own piece of wildlife art and learn about this PA native species!
Registration is required and payment of $25 will be due at the start of the program—cash and checks only!
