Ruth A. Kessler

Ruth A. Kessler, 86, of Delevan, New York, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Absolut Care of Salamanca after a brief illness.

Born on August 26, 1938, in East Aurora, she was a daughter of John J. and Dorothy Sly Stangl.  She was married to Ceylon Kessler.

Ruth was a longtime employee of Motorola in Arcade prior to her retirement.  She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, writing poems, and mowing her lawn.

She is survived by; two sons Randy (Candy) Kessler of Delevan and Gene (Lisa) Kessler; a daughter Sue (Edward Miller) Ruehl of Houghton; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; three brothers Gene (Patty) Stangl of Arcade, Joseph (Joyce) Stangl of Arcade, and Ralph (Barb) Stangl of Sardinia; two sisters Katie Jones of East Aurora and Barbara (Edward) Beck of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son Rex Kessler, a daughter Brenda Miller, a brother Johnny Stangl, and a sister Gretchen Fahy.

There will be no services at this time.
