Robert Eugene Cobb, Sr., Of Bradford

Robert Eugene Cobb, Sr., passed away on July 4th, 2026 while living with his daughter; after a brief illness with cancer.
Born on July 15, 1938 to Albert T. Cobb and Lois Cornelius Cobb Austin.
Bob attended Bradford Area Schools; then served four years with the United
States Army.
He was a supervisor at Owens Illinois/Georgia Pacific and later retired from the Bradford Area School District as a bus driver.
Bob was a lifetime member of the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bradford Eagles FOE #2432 and the Bradford American Legion Post #108. He also attended the West Branch Global Methodist Church.
Bob is survived by his companion of 40 years, Virginia Wonsettler; two daughters, Debbora Fay and Martha (Bruce) Kightlinger; two sons, Robert (Maricella) Cobb, Jr. and Brian (Janna) Cobb; five brothers, Donald Cobb, Sr., Ted Cobb, Patrick (Ceil) Cobb, Tim (Grace) Cobb, Douglas (Debbie) Cobb; one sister, Martha (Ed) Oertly; grandchildren, Michael H. Fay, Jr., Melissa Fay, Mallory Fay, Daniell Hicks, Katie Tyger, Jennifer Mosley, Robert Lyle Cobb, Isabel Cobb, Cameron Cobb, Shelina Cross, Dillan Cobb and Kayla Cobb; great grandchildren, Justin Hicks, Kali Tyger, Kenzi Tyger, Andrew Cox, Jay Newcombe, Leia Kightlinger, Ella Mosley, Evan Cross, Lyanna Cross, Colter Scanlon and Charlotte Scanlon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step parents, Ruth Cobb and Glenn Austin; brother, PFC Bruce Cobb; sister, Josephine (Dana) Bailey; sister-in-law, Beverly Cobb and Jean Cobb and son-in-law, Michael H. Fay
To honor Roberts wishes there will be no services. Military graveside services will be private. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
