Robert “Bob” Froelich, 87, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport. Born September 23, 1937 in Fritztown, PA, he was a son of the late Edwin and Eva (Balthaser) Froelich.

Bob was a graduate of Wernersville High School and attended night classes at Penn State University. He was an engineer, employed by Bell Telephone before retirement. Bob was a social member of the Galeton VFW and a member of the Galeton Moose.

He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding 4 wheelers. Bob always had a smile on his face and could often be found having coffee with friends. He will be missed by the Galeton community.  

Surviving are a son, Kurt (Dory) Froelich, Germania; a sister, Emma Heffne, Wyomissing, PA; and two grandsons, Mark Froelich, Wellsboro, PA and Cody Froelich, Westfield, PA.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by a daughter, Kris Froelich. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Galeton VFW at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Galeton VFW. Arrangements and the cremation have been entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Galeton
