“Husband, Dad, Papa, Pastor” July 14, 1954 – September 4, 2026

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA—Ronald Arthur Frazier went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 72. His was a life defined by faith, family, and a wholehearted devotion to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ron was born on July 14, 1954. In 1966, at just 12 years old, his life was forever changed when he made the commitment to surrender all and follow Jesus. It was a decision that would shape not only the course of his own life, but the lives of countless others for the next six decades. Whether behind a pulpit, at a church camp, across the table from someone who needed encouragement, or halfway around the world, Ron’s greatest desire was that people would know and faithfully follow Jesus.

Ron attended Olean High School and later attended Free Gospel Bible Institute in Export, Pennsylvania, graduating in 1974. On May 17, 1975, he married his “dear” wife, Diane Eastman, at the Kane Revival Center in Kane, Pennsylvania. Together, Ron and Diane would spend more than 51 years building a life centered on faith, family, and ministry.

Ron began pastoring in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, in 1975. The following winter brought one of the great surprises of his young life. In 1976, he rushed through a snowstorm to Kane, Pennsylvania, expecting to welcome his first baby into the world—only to discover that Diane had given birth to twins. It was the beginning of a large and much-loved family that would become one of the greatest joys of his life.

Ron went on to pastor Faith Temple Church in Titusville, Pennsylvania, for 22 years. In 2002, Ron and Diane moved to Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania, and he began a new chapter of ministry, faithfully pastoring Olean Revival Center in Olean, New York, where he continued to serve until his passing. 

Ron’s heart for ministry and world missions was also reflected in his more than 30 years on the Board of Directors for Miller’s Evangelistic Association, where he became president in 2021.

For Ron, the church was never simply a building or a Sunday morning destination. He loved his church family deeply, from the oldest member to the youngest child. He believed in investing in people, encouraging them in their faith, and helping the next generation develop a love for God and His work.

Church camp held a particularly special place in Ron’s heart. It was always “just around the corner”. So did world missions. Over the years, his love for the Gospel took him far beyond the communities he pastored. He treasured opportunities to travel to different countries, meeting and encouraging believers around the world. He loved seeing firsthand what God was doing in other nations, forming friendships that crossed borders and cultures, and reminding fellow believers that they were part of a much larger family of faith.

Away from the pulpit, Ron found joy in many of life’s simple gifts. He loved fishing and gardening, and he had a special appreciation for Southern Gospel music. He loved traveling, but there was no title he treasured more than those connected to his family. His children and grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and his family grew not only through birth, but through adoption and through love. To Ron, family was never limited by biology.

He leaves behind his “dear” wife, Diane, and their children: Troy (Stacy) Frazier of Titusville, Pennsylvania; Joanna Frazier of Portville, New York; Adam (Esther) Frazier of Friendship, New York; Susanna (Kenneth) Bailey of Olean, New York; Jonathan (Amanda) Frazier of DuBois, Pennsylvania; Rachel (Derek) Spencer of Portville, New York; and Sarah Frazier of Portville, New York.

He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren—biological, adopted, and chosen—Koisha, Emily, Ella, Conner, Julia, Gregory, Kendra, Isaiah, Jeramiah, Giana, Anna, McKenna, Cassie, Evan, Mitchell, Liam, Luka, Conrad, and Theodore. Each held a special place in their grandfather’s heart.

Ron is also survived by his sisters, Gladys Winters and Shirley Winters of Salamanca, New York; numerous nieces and nephews; and so many, many friends, both far and near. His life and ministry created friendships that stretched across communities, churches, states, and nations.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his mother, Shirley Winters; his father, Arthur Whitmore; his brother, George Winters; his sister, Margaret Hogle; his beloved spiritual mentors, “Brother and Sister” Miller; his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Ronald Frazier spent his life preaching the faith he first embraced as a 12-year-old boy. For more than half a century, he pastored churches, prayed with people, taught the Word of God, supported missions, encouraged believers, invested in young people at camp, raised a family, loved his grandchildren, and remained committed to the calling he believed God had placed upon his life.

Those who knew Ron will remember the pastor, the missionary-hearted traveler, the fisherman, the gardener, the husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend.

But above all else, they will remember a man who loved Jesus—and who spent his life trying to help others love Him, too.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Oswayo Valley Bible Campground, 479 Rt 44 in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania. 

A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., with his son, Rev. Troy Frazier, officiating. Services will be livestreamed at www.meaministries.org

A committal service will be conducted with Rev. David Eastman officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.
