PUC Announces Public Input Hearings for Proposed Rate Changes by Philadelphia Gas Works
In-Person and Telephonic Hearings Scheduled in Early May to Gather Public Testimony
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) today announced a series of public input hearings – including two in-person hearings and two telephonic hearings – to gather public comment on a proposed natural gas rate increase by Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW).
These hearings are part of the PUC’s investigation into PGW’s request to increase its annual operating revenues for natural gas distribution service by approximately $105 million (15.7%). PGW serves approximately 518,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the City of Philadelphia.
In-Person Public Input Hearings
Two in-person public input hearings will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the following locations:
