Forrest L. Seeley, Jr., 67, of 582 Parkside Drive, Limestone, NY, passed away, Monday, June 19, 2023, at Olean General Hospital.
Born on July 24, 1955, in Olean NY, a son of the late Forrest L. Seeley, Sr and Emogene (Johnson) Seeley-Wesmiller.
He attended Limestone Free Union and graduated in 1974.
On March 8, 1974, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corp. He served until March 11, 1976, when he was honorably discharged.
After the service he worked at Haliburton, Dresser Rand and for many years as an Installer for Direct TV.
On June 18, 2005, in his Parkside Drive home, he married Linda (Miller) Seeley.
Forrest was a member of the American Legion Post 1560 in Limestone and the Limestone Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and drinking Bud Light. His greatest joy came from being with his daughters and family.
Surviving is his wife Linda of 18 years, two daughters, Tracy Seeley and Stephanie (Chris) Barrile, all of Bradford, four stepdaughters, Bridget Ehman, Mellissa Autieri, Laurie Trojan, and Kristen Roberts, one stepson, Richard S Trojan and Steven Trojan, two sisters Jacqui Pritchard, and Marge Feely, one brother, David Seeley, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Steven Trojan.
Family will receive friends on Saturday July 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at the American Legion Post 1560 in Limestone. At 10:30 am Full Military Honors will be accorded by members of the United States Marine Corp, and the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post 1560.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Joann L. Fronapel, 93, formerly of 9 Cross Dr., Bradford, PA and a former winter resident of Zepher Hills, FL, for many years, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Bradford Ecumenical Home.
Born on February 20, 1930, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Irene (Johnson) Record.
Joann graduated from Bradford Area High School in 1949.
On June 24, 1949, she married Robert Adams, who preceded her in death on September 15, 1962. On August 27, 1978, she married Eugene “Piney” Fronapel who preceded her in death on January 28, 2006.
Joann worked as a waitress at the Desoto Motel Restaurant.
Surviving is one son, Ronald (Millie) Adams, of, Tonawanda, NY, three stepdaughters, Carolyn Fronapel, of Pittsburgh, Mary (Mike) Mackey, of Russell, and Barbara (Chip) Bloomgren, of ME, one granddaughter Erika Adams, seven step grandchildren, and 11 step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and two sisters, Phyllis Holzworth and Marge Reed.
Services are private and at the convenience of family. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

CHERRY SPRINGS STATE PARK OFFERS FREE IN-PERSON PROGRAMS FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND MONDAY, JUNE 30, JULY 1, 2 & 3
In-person programs are being held this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 30, July 1, 2 and 3 at Cherry Springs State Park at 4639 Cherry Springs Road, Coudersport, Pa. 16915. The park is 12 miles from Route 6 in Galeton via West Branch Road and 15 miles from Coudersport via Route 44.
Star gazing programs are all held in the Night Sky Public Viewing Area. Park in the gravel lot and follow the walkway next to the restrooms to the seating area. Since seating is limited and spring nights are chilly, those attending may want to bring a chair and/or blanket.

We like to impress our neighbors, family and friends and show our red, white, and blue pride with the best fireworks. But sometimes these fun and joyous celebrations can take a turn for the worse, quickly. Here’s some advice to help you stay safe and injury-free this Independence Day.
Firework Facts
As impressive and fun as fireworks can be, one thing is clear: They also come with potential dangers, particularly in the hands of the untrained. In some states, they’re illegal for consumers to use. Know the facts before spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars that will just go up in smoke.
- Fireworks can cause permanent injury and disfigurement to your eyes, hands, and face.
- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that emergency departments saw about 10,000 fireworks injuries in 2019.
- Sparklers can reach 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the American Burn Association.
- More than half of fireworks injuries in the U.S. happen to people under age 20.
- People who’ve suffered burns may need months or years to heal physically and emotionally.

Patricia “Jean” Mann, 90, of 109 Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA
Patricia “Jean” Mann, 90, of 109 Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side, early Saturday morning, June 24, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on June 21, 1933 in Ridgway, a daughter to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Hennessy Eggler. On September 13, 1975 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married Ermil B. Mann. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1992.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Jean was a 1947 graduate of Holy Rosary School and a 1951 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and the Johnsonburg and Wilcox Senior Centers. Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and doing volunteer work. She loved bingo and recently doing Wordle on her Ipad.
Jean had retired in 1993 as a Senior Secretary in the Traffic Department of Willamette Industries, Johnsonburg Mill after 42 years of working for the New York and Pennsylvania Co., Penntech Papers and Weyerhauser before Willamette, now Domtar.
Jean is survived by one step-daughter, Jennifer, Mrs. Fred Frank of Johnsonburg and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a brother James Eggler and 2 sisters Mary Swanson and Margaret Eggler.
A Mass of Christian Burial for P. Jean Mann will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday June 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Fr. David Wilson, Pastor as celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg.

Dolores A. “Dode” Dworsky, 93, of Silver Creek Terrace, St. Marys and formerly of 522 Penn Street, Johnsonburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning at Silver Creek Terrace.
She was born in Erie, PA a daughter to Sarah Redmond Popielski. On May 5, 1962 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, she married James “Jim” Dworsky. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2014.
A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, Dode was a 1948 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church where she had been a member of the Funeral Dinner Committee and the Festival Committee. She was also a member of the St. Joe’s Women’s Aux. and was an active member of the ECCHS PTO. Dode loved her family, her church and her front porch. She enjoyed playing cards, particularly cinch and 500. She also loved to Polka and read books.
Dode had retired from Nelson’s Grocery Store in 1997 after 20 years. She had also catered for 10 years and had worked at Pelp’s Restaurant for 10 years.
She is survived by her children Christine Marie Geer of Johnsonburg and Daniel James Dworsky and his wife Shawn of Ridgway and her grandchildren Sydney and Samantha Kovalyak and Dakota Dworsky. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lorraine Dworsky of St. Marys and Lois, Mrs. Robert Czekai of Rush, NY and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother and husband, Dode is predeceased by her mother’s husband Walter Popielski, who passed away before she was born, and brothers Raymond, Louis, Stanley, Chester and Thomas Popielski.
