Rosalind Jean Hupp, of Warren, PA, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 7, 2023, with her daughter, son-in-law, and pastor at her side.  Rosalind, known as ‘Roz’ to many, was born to Hobart Emerson Hupp and Talitha Isabel Kuhn Hupp on February 2, 1932, in Chillicothe, OH.  She lived an amazing 91 ½ years on this earth, sharing her faith, talents, kindness, humor, and generosity with countless people. 

A top graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1950, Rosalind set out to achieve her childhood dream of becoming an opera singer. Her studies at Boston University and New England Conservatory of Music afforded her much experience with notable conductors such as Sarah Caldwell and Boris Goldovsky.

She went on to grace audiences with her unforgettable mezzo-soprano voice, singing oratorios, recital tours throughout the US and Europe, making recordings, and  performing more than 40 roles with leading opera companies throughout the United States.

 She was an A.G.M.A. Showcase Award Winner, which earned her a Judson Hall recital in NYC, and the recipient of two Martha Baird Rockefeller Grants, and a Kathryn Long Scholarship.

Madelina Vada Mann, infant daughter of Jeff Mann and Rikki Cribbs, was born on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.  She went to be with the angels shortly after birth, passing peacefully in the arms of her mother.

In addition to her parents, Madelina is survived by her twin sister; Wrenley Mae Mann, and by 3 loving sisters; Bailey and Camryn Schnars and Peyton Mann.  She is also loved by maternal grandparents; Dan Cribbs and Lynn Young, and Anita and Eric Johnston, and by paternal grandmother, Linda Gee, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She was welcomed into heaven by her paternal grandfather, Jeffrey Mann, and will rest peacefully in the arms of the angels. 

Funeral and Committal Services for Madelina Vada Mann are being held privately with the family.

Burial will be in Elkton Cemetery.

Laura K. Ladlee, 73, of Smethport, PA passed away Saturday (August 12, 2023) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, after battling cancer.

Gladys M. Wilcox, age 76, of Corning, NY passed away at home on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Born March 31, 1947 in Huntingdon, TN, she was the daughter of the late Levi E. and Gladys (Fuller) Thomas.

My life is over, the pain and heartache are gone, I am now at home with all the loved one’s that have gone before me. Please don’t be sad, you each have a life to live, live it for yourselves. Please know I am very proud of you all. I leave my dearest children, Billy Wright, Paul Jr. (Stephanie) and Malyssa (Dustin Bryant).

I love each one of you dearly, along with the many other unbiological children that call me mom. My precious grandchildren, Savana, Cheyene, Haley, Thomas and Jordan – Grandma loves you dearly, please always know that you are dear to me, along with all the other children that call me Grandma. I have been blessed to have many children, grandchildren and a few great grandchildren. My brother, Elmer; sister in law, Nancy; nieces and nephews, Larry (Wanda), Fred (Teressa), Mark (Karen), Kim (Sam), Ron, Troy (Kitty), Symantha, Candy (Rich), Lexie, Mandy, Christine, Todd (Carly), Cathy, Mike (Gayle), Tonya, Justin and Josh ( Stephanie) and many dear cousins and dear friends.

Don’t be sad now over me, I lived a long, good life. I am truly ready to go home and be with my family and friends who have already gone; my husband, Paul; my brothers, Carl and Gaylon and my sister in law, Linda. Enjoy your life, Love those around you who love you.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
