Patricia A. Morrison, formerly of Annin Creek Rd., Port Allegany, PA passed away Tuesday (Aug. 8, 2023) in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born January 25, 1946, in Daytona Beach, FL, she was a daughter of Robin D. and Rita M. McCarthy Johnson. On Mar. 8, 1963, in Delaware County, PA, she married Stephen V. Morrison, who survives.
She was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School, Drexel Hill, PA, where she met her husband, Stephen, and Irish and Italian Combo and clash.
She attended nursing school and was a few classes short of getting her degree.
(MCKEAN COUNTY, Pennsylvania; August 15, 2023): District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, following a two day jury trial at the McKean County Courthouse, Marily Woodford McMahon, of Kane, was convicted of charges related to firearms and stolen property.
Troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police-Lewis Run barracks received information from two separate investigations that stolen firearms and controlled substances would be located at the defendant’s residence on Haines Street in Kane.
ServSafe is a certification program developed by the Restaurant Association Education Foundation. The course meets certification requirements for individuals who are responsible for the safe handling of food in restaurants, schools, elder care facilities, lodges, bed and breakfasts, community centers, and other food concessions (organizations or businesses that sell or prepare food on a regular basis).
This course, taught by Rick Kralj, Penn State Educator, is scheduled for Mondays, September 25 and October 2, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Education Council’s Coudersport office. BRADFORD, Pa. – Dr. Lanre Morenikeji, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, is serious about providing undergraduate students with research opportunities.
Last year, five students collaborated with him on various research projects, and three of them published papers alongside their mentor. This coming academic year, he is again involving a handful of students in his research.
Morenikeji is an immunologist: a person who studies how the body responds to disease. He collaborates with undergraduates at Pitt-Bradford as well as other PhDs and graduate students at other universities on several projects.

The 2023 Falling Leaves Festival will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 and Saturday, September 30, 2023 on the Potter County Courthouse Square in Coudersport, PA. Festival times will be Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As in the past, vendor spaces will be available for set up on the Courthouse Square. They will be 10’x10’ spaces available for $50 each during pre-registration. Early registration is strongly suggested. Any registrations after the registration deadline of Saturday, September 10, 2022 will be charged $55 per 10’x10’ space. Space requests after the registration deadline will be on a first come, first serve basis. Non-profit organizations should contact us about a reduced rate.
