BRADFORD MAN SENTENCED FOR DUI-RELATED DEATH IN JULY CRASH
UPDATED December 7, 2023: (MCKEAN COUNTY, Pennsylvania): District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer reports that, following a sentencing hearing at the McKean County Courthouse, the Bradford man who was driving a vehicle while under the influence and crashed, causing a man’s death, was sentenced to a period of state incarceration.
Darian Ramdin pled guilty to Homicide by Vehicle while DUI, Aggravated Assault while DUI, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police and other charges for the crash on July 16, 2023 on East Main Street in Bradford.
Wallace Easton was killed in the crash and a juvenile female suffered serious injury. Both were passengers in the Ramdin vehicle.
Ramdin was sentenced by Judge John H. Pavlock to a term of incarceration of 4 years to 8 years plus 3 years of consecutive probation and other terms. At the time of the crash, Ramdin had been out on bail for a charge of delivery of marijuana.
Wallace Easton’s mother spoke at sentencing that her son’s organs were donated and, in that way, he lives on. Ramdin read a statement to the Court prior to sentencing.
