Public Drunkenness Arrest In Bradford
On September 15th 2024 at approximately 0302 hours officers with the Bradford City Police Department were dispatched to a disturbance at a private residence on Pleasant Street. The caller reported that there was a male wearing a flannel shirt by the name of Robert Johnson who was in their backyard messing with the windows to the residence and attempting to open the front door. Officers located the male farther down the block walking away from the scene and questioned the male. Officers determined that the male was intoxicated in public and a danger to himself and other members of the community.
Officers ultimately arrested Johnson and while at his home attempting to return the male to be in the care of a sober individual, he began to run away again placing himself and others in danger. After multiple attempts to have Johnson remain home, officers had to use substantial force to restrain Johnson who was then transported back to the Bradford City Police station for a virtual arraignment on his charges. District Judge Engman arraigned Johnson and bail was set at $2,500 straight. Johnson, unable to post bail, was remanded to the McKean County Jail.
