New Endowed Fund Supports Arts Programming for the Entire Community

BRADFORD, Pa. — Pitt-Bradford Arts has played a major role in enhancing community access to high-quality performances and nationally-recognized dancers, musicians and theatrical professionals, while expanding educational opportunities for students in a wide variety of fields. That legacy and impact will continue to grow thanks to the creation of the Patty M. Colosimo Arts Endowment Fund, which will provide essential support for innovative programming, community engagement and education in the arts.
The fund is made possible thanks to the generosity of Jeanie Satterwhite ’64-‘66, a Pitt-Bradford alum and long-time university volunteer and supporter of Pitt-Bradford Arts. It is named in honor of Patty Colosimo, Satterwhite’s friend and colleague, who spent 23 years at Pitt-Bradford, including 10 years as director of arts programming, before retiring in 2022.
“Patty’s more than two decades of remarkable achievement and leadership of Pitt-Bradford Arts has been magnificently impactful for our community and deserves to be publicly celebrated,” notes Satterwhite. “I am very excited to launch this fund in Patty’s name to help ensure her extraordinary legacy is protected and nurtured now and in the future.”
“I am incredibly proud to have played a role in making Pitt-Bradford Arts what it is today, for the ultimate benefit of the broader community,” Colosimo adds. “I am also beyond touched at this amazing honor and want to thank Jeanie for her years of friendship, guidance and generosity which continues to make Bradford a better place.”
Pitt-Bradford Arts organizes an annual season of art exhibitions, live performances, and academic programs that seek to expand cultural understanding while bringing world renowned entertainers and scholars to Northwestern Pennsylvania. It also provides significant opportunities for Pitt-Bradford students to perform, create art and learn more about the arts industry. It manages the University’s Bromeley Family Theater, Kaleidoscope Matinee Series, KOA Art Gallery and Marylin Horne Museum and Exhibit Center.
