Libby Sharon Lewis, age 77 of Galeton passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her son’s home.  Born December 12, 1948, in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Miller V. Gregg, Sr. and Flora H. (Hart) Clendenin.  

Libby graduated from Cosmetology school and owned and operated Libby S. Lewis Beauty Shop in Galeton for over 40 years.  She was a longtime active member of the Galeton VFW Auxiliary, where she served as President for many years, and a member of St. Bibiana’s Catholic Church.  She loved animals and her dogs, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  

Libby is survived by her son, Michael and Candy Lewis of Knoxville; grandchildren, Alec and Charlotte Lewis of Lewiston, ME, Paige and Cameron Fuller of Westfield, Kirsten and David Saili of Knoxville, and Hunter McNeely of Westfield; and two great-grandchildren, River Lewis and Elei Saili.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leah Kreger.  

A private service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made in Libby’s honor to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946.  Arrangements are in care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Westfield.
