JoAnn Dudash, 83, of 440 Eben Road, St. Marys, passed away with her family by her side, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born September 2, 1941, in Emeigh, PA, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Buterbaugh Clark. She spent her childhood helping on a 150 acre dairy farm the family purchased in Westover, PA.
On October 17, 1964, in Barnsboro, PA, JoAnn married the late Joseph A. Dudash, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2016. They spent an amazing 52 years together on earth and are now together again.
JoAnn is survived by her daughter, Christine McCurdy and her husband, Randy of St. Marys; three granddaughters: Amanda Shelton (Eric Shaffer) of St. Marys, Allison Fox (Devin) of St. Marys, and Ashley Taylor (Nathan) of Kersey; three great-grandchildren: Sofia Shelton, Clara Jo Fox and Maggie Fox; two sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Mattis of Arcadia, PA and Ruth Clark of Westover, PA; and one brother-in-law, John Dudash of Homer City, PA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Donald Clark. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
JoAnn was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was an avid reader, gardener, a tremendous baker and enjoyed the time spent assembling the bulletin at church. She put her family above all else. She was a dedicated fan of her grandchildren, attending all of their activities and was known as āGramā to all of their friends. At times you would even find her on the floor playing with her great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 10:00AM with Rev. Thomas Curry, O.S.B., celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Maryās Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM and again on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 9:00AM until 9:45AM.
