August showers will bring September flowers. We did have plenty of August showers during the month. The month was relatively mild. There were no heat waves. We did have several thundershowers, and these, for the most part, gave us the 4.29″ rainfall for August 2026. Last year we recorded 1.10″.

Pine Creek looks very nice and surprisingly normal. The smaller streams look low. I will report that the grass is growing fast and the mowers are running overtime. Of course, lawns must be kept looking like the well-groomed golf courses. I will add another observation. Even on the smaller lawns, nice-looking ride-on mowers are the mowers of choice, and they are kept washed and polished.
