Dorothy “Dot” Sluga, 94, formerly of 12 Anderson St. Mount Jewett, PA, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2023 in the Lutheran Home at Kane.

Born December 31, 1928 in Kane, she was the daughter of Victor R. and Besse (Watterson) Lantz. On June 5, 1948, in Mount Jewett, she married William “Bill” Sluga, who passed away June 4, 2019.

Mrs. Sluga attended Mount Jewett School and worked for many years at Stackpole Corp. in Kane. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett.

She is survived by one daughter: Billie Ann Haskins of Pittsburgh, PA, two sons: Lance and Scott Sluga of Mount Jewett, PA, 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-children, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vicki Lynn Carrow, one grand-daughter, Kari Lynn Carrow ; two brothers, Carl and Victor Lantz, and two sisters, Beatrice Cunningham and Betty Lyle, and a son-in-law, Arnie Haskins.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial  at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mt. Jewett on Monday (Dec. 11) at 11:00 a.m. Time to meet with the family and a luncheon will follow in the parish center. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
