Debra Ann (DeGroat) Larnder passed away peacefully on the afternoon of November 16th, 2024 after a two-and-a-half-year fight with cancer.
Debbie was born to Joseph and Lucille DeGroat on May 12th, 1957 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania. A diligent crafter, Debbie enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and home decorating. She spent many summer hours tending her home garden, as well as cooking and baking year-round. Her favorite place in the world was the beach, sitting by the surf with her family, a refreshing pina colada in hand, and a plethora of seashells at her feet to bring home and add to her collection. She loved lilacs and chickadees, hated goldenrod (achoo!), and enjoyed heaps of couch cuddles from her beloved dog Sadie.
In 1988 she met the love of her life, Alan Robert Larnder, and they married on April 26th, 1990. Together they raised three daughters.
