Port Allegany – Dale L. Kephart, 67, of Turtlepoint, passed away Saturday (October 31, 2026) at UPMC Williamsport with his family by his side

He was born January 18, 1959, in San Antonio, TX, the son of Henry and Judith (Meier) Kephart. On May 12, 1979, in Port Allegany, PA, he married Laurie J. Snyder, who survives.

Mr Kephart was a 1977 graduate of Port Allegany High School. He was a Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force, serving from June 29, 1977, to June 28, 1981. He worked as a line mechanic, employed by Ardagh Group in Port Allegany for 43 years, retiring in 2023.

Dale was a member of the Turtlepoint Evangelical Church, American Legion Frank Burt Post #258 of Port Allegany, and the Port Allegany Horseshoe League.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Judith Foster, in Alaska

Two sons; Joseph M. (Ashley) Kephart, of  Norman OK, and Samuel K.(Breanna) Kephart, of Roulette, PA, One daughter; Amy R. Kephart  Bradford, PA.

Six grandchildren; Hayden Bennett, Maya Kephart, Layla and Kaleb Safford, Harper and Gage Kephart

One Great granddaughter Ensley Bennett.

Four brothers; David (Lainie) Kephart of Eldred, PA, Bruce Kephart of TN, Henry (Cheryl) Kephart of  MI, and Rueben Foster of AK,

Two sisters; Tammy (Dan) Patterson of AK and Barbi (Mark) Oulette of AK.

And many nieces and nephews

Dale was preceded in death by his father

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 11AM-1PM at the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 105 Main St., Port Allegany, where funeral services will start at 1 PM with the Rev. Tony Edgell officiating. Burial will be in the Annin Creek Cemetery, Turtlepoint, PA.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Port Allegany Honor Guard
