C&N’s Giving Program EarnsNational Recognition For Cancer Initiative

WELLSBORO – C&N’s employee-led Giving Back, Giving Together program has received an Honorable Mention in the Community and Economic Development category of the ABA Foundation Community Commitment Awards. This marks the third national recognition for the program, which previously earned honors in 2021 and 2022 and highlights the meaningful local impact driven by C&N teammates.
The recognition specifically honors Giving Back, Giving Together’s most recent initiative, Standing Strong Against Cancer, which united teammates across C&N’s footprint to support individuals and families impacted by cancer in their local communities. Through grassroots fundraising, volunteer efforts, and donation drives, teams partnered with local organizations to provide direct, meaningful support.
Through the Standing Strong Against Cancer initiative, C&N teammates:
- Raised $108,555 for local organizations and families
- Donated 2,127 essential items
- Volunteered 164 hours
- Supported 22 local organizations
Every dollar raised and every item donated stayed within the communities served by C&N, reinforcing the program’s mission of delivering local impact.

Since launching in 2015, Giving Back, Giving Together has continued to grow through employee leadership and community partnerships. To date, the program has:
- Raised $919,287.03
- Donated 45,526 essential items
- Volunteered 1,869 hours
- Supported 278 local organizations
As Giving Back, Giving Together celebrates its 10-year milestone, C&N teammates are now working toward an exciting goal of surpassing $1 million raised to support local communities.
The Community Commitment Awards recognize banks across the country that are making significant contributions to community and economic development. C&N’s Giving Back, Giving Together program continues to stand out for its employee-led approach, local focus, and measurable impact.
