C&N’s Giving Back, Giving Together Program Surpasses $1 Million in Community Giving

WELLSBORO, PA – C&N’s Giving Back, Giving Together program officially surpassed $1 million in monetary donations during the C&N Charity Classic on September 14, marking a major milestone for the employee-led community giving program established in 2015.
One million dollars is an extraordinary number, but its true meaning can be found in the lives changed along the way. It looks like a ramp that allows a veteran to8 remain safely in the home they love. Food on the table for a family facing a difficult season. Essential supplies for a child, added resources for first responders and care and encouragement for people navigating cancer. It looks like neighbors helping neighbors.
“Reaching $1 million is an incredible achievement, but the number only tells part of the story,” said Brad Scovill, C&N President and CEO. “It represents years of generosity, teamwork and a shared belief that we can make a meaningful difference when we come together.”
C&N launched Giving Back, Giving Together around a simple idea: bring teammates and communities together to support the local organizations already doing extraordinary work. Each year, C&N teammates and community members help select a shared cause. Local teams then raise funds, collect needed items and volunteer alongside organizations in their own communities. Money and donations raised locally remain local, allowing each organization to use the support where it can make the greatest difference.
Since the program began, Giving Back, Giving Together has also donated more than 45,000 essential items and 2,000 volunteer hours through 267 community partnerships. Causes have included hunger, emergency services, children and youth, education and literacy, military servicemembers, seniors, cancer patients and this year, individuals with disabilities.
“The organizations we partner with understand the needs of their communities because they are there doing the work every day,” said Jeff Hollenbach, Giving Back, Giving Together Board President. “Our role is to stand behind them, strengthen what they are already doing and help that support reach even further.”
The 2026 Giving Back, Giving Together campaign supports individuals with disabilities through partnerships with 16 community organizations. Their work is creating greater access, independence and opportunity for individuals and families across the region.
A million dollars became much more than a number. It became help, hope and a reminder of what communities can accomplish together. Now, Giving Back, Giving Together begins its next chapter. To learn more about Giving Back, Giving Together, visit cnbankpa.com/GBGT.
