Jon K. Little:  Loving Husband, Father, and Son

Jon K. Little, 50, of 54 East Main Street, Friendship, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 3, 2025.

Born on December 24, 1974, in Olean, he was a son of Gary and Claudia Ingram Little.  On May 25, 2003, in Cuab, he married the former Adriane M. Ingalls who survives.

Jon was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1993 and then graduated from JCC in 1995.  He also was a graduate of the Continental School of Beauty. 

He worked as a hair stylist in Several locations, was manager at the Seneca One Stop at Cuba Lake for 13 years, and last was a line cook at Sprague’s Maple Farms until he became disabled from a car accident in 2012.

Agnes B. Reed, 85, of Warren, PA, died early Tuesday morning in her home, surrounded by her family.

Betty J. Klingel                 

Betty J. Klingel, 85, of Keating Township, passed away at her residence on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Ricky Allen Rounsville, 69, of Tree Line Drive, Smethport, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born May 21, 1956, in Olean, N.Y., he was the son of the late H. Edward and Arlena (Canfield) Rounsville. On April 13, 1974, in Farmers Valley, he married Tammy Hills, who preceded him in death in 2023.

A lifelong resident of the area, Rick enjoyed gardening, canning with his sister and daughter, hunting and spending time in the garage with his sons, and spending time outdoors with his dog, Cane. He loved being with his children, grandchildren, and lifelong friends. Rick worked many years as an equipment operator.

James W. Paddison         “beloved husband, father, grandfather; and devoted servant of the Lord”

James W. Paddison, 91, of Shinglehouse, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in his home.

Born on Friday, December 8, 1 933 in Cuba, NY, he was a son of Stanley and Irene Williams Paddison. On September 6, 1958 in the Bell Run Union Church, he married Eileen Maxson, who survives.

Harry G. Burns, 88, a resident of Chapel Ridge, formerly West Washington Street, Bradford, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025, at BRMC.

Born January 2, 1937, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Gerald and Blanche (Rich) Burns.  He was a 1956 graduate of Bradford High School.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1956.  He was stationed in Panama and was honorably discharged in November of 1961.

Jay B. Alexander, 67, of 433 High Street, Bradford, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 19, 1957, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Gerald M. and Gwendolyn L. (Thrush) Alexander. He was a 1975 graduate from Bradford High.

On August 29, 1992, in Bradford, he married Wendy M. (Tyger) Alexander, who survives.

Jay worked for Lloyd-Smith, drilling water wells for 37 years. He worked in the oil industry for Cline Oil and Philips & Dart and was employed as a custodian at Bradford Area School District working at Fretz Middle School.

He was an avid Steelers fan, loved to hunt, fish, camp, dig leeks, watch Mash and Gunsmoke, and spend time with his dog Jasmine.

Nancy O’Donnell, 97, of Bradford, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a brief stay at the Bradford Manor. 

Born March 26, 1928, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Salvator “Sam” and Vittoria (Forte) Luciano.

Nancy was a 1945 graduate of St. Bernard High School.

On May 16, 1953, in St. Bernard Church before Rev. Martin Grady, she married William J. O’Donnell, who preceded her in death on January 12, 2013.

Sandra K. Baldwin, 79, of Smethport, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday (August 2, 2025) with her family by her side.

She was born November 25, 1945 in Olean, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Leet) Field. On July 17, 1965, in Bradford, PA, she married Robert L. Baldwin, who survives.

Brenda Lee Shatara, 75, of Bradford, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 16, 2025. Born on January 4, 1950, in Bradford, she was the daughter of the late Norman Glady and Marcia Glady (Raffill). Brenda was the beloved middle child of five siblings, all of whom survive her.

Early in her life, she worked as a secretary at the Methodist Church and McCourt Label/Bradford Printing.

On March 31, 1973, she married John “Jack” Shatara. They shared 47 years of marriage before Jack’s passing in December 2020. Together they raised one daughter, Andrea Shatara of Boston, Massachusetts, who survives her.

Kenra L. Tyger, 80, of 19 Prendegast Ave, Bradford, passed away August 1, 2025, surrounded by her children, at the Bradford Manor.

Born January 20, 1945, in Akron, OH, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Cora (McDonald) Shepherd. Kenra was a 1963 graduate of Howard High School in Akron.

On July 30, 1966, in Bradford, she married Max O. Tyger, Jr. who preceded her in death on December 6, 2004.

Twila M. Sawyer                     “loving aunt”

Twila M. Sawyer, 70, of Shinglehouse, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, NY, after a short illness.

Born on Monday, January 17, 1955 in Bradford, she was a daughter of Ray M. Jr. and Katherine M. Gangemi Dunham.  On August 24, 1985 in Hinsdale, NY, she married Richard E. “Dick” Sawyer, who passed away on March 27, 2018.

Twila was a graduate of Olean High School and also was a graduate of the former Olean Business Institute.  She spent the majority of her working career in the manufacturing sector.  Twila was first employed by the former Acme Electric Company in Cuba, NY and later was employed by Caloric Appliance Company in Topton, Pa.  She was last employed by the former Powder PAC in Coudersport.

Robert H. “Bob” Foster:  Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Robert H. “Bob” Foster, 83, of 6263 Foster Road, Friendship, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Jones Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on July 26, 1942, on the family farm in Friendship, he was a son of Clifton and Genevieve Sweeney Foster.  On August 2, 1969, at Our Lady of Angels Church, Cuba, he married the former Diane P. Appleby who survives.

John Raymond Stocum, age 70 of Elkland, PA passed away on July 29, 2025. He was born March 1, 1955 in Whitesville, NY and was a son to the late Ira and Mildred (Rhodes) Stocum. John enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and learning and collecting the history of Native Americans.

Linda M. Wilson, 70, of Bradford, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital.

Rhoda T. Weimer, 72, a lifelong resident of Roulette, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Monday, July 28, 2025, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a period of declining health.

Born on Sunday, June 28, 1953, in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Leonard and Ruth Thompson Treat.  On October 22, 1972 in San Diego, California, she married Joseph L. “Joe” Weimer. 

Claude O. SEELY, 83, Ulysses, PA, formerly of Coudersport, died Thursday, July 24, 2025 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.  Born June 30, 1942, in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of Orlo F. and Marion Carter Seely.

Howard E. BAKER, 83, of Westfield, PA, died Friday, July 25, 2025 in UPMC Wellsboro.  Born July 19, 1942, in Harrison Township, he was the son of Erba and Ruth Hurler Baker.  

On December 1, 1962, in Brookfield, he married Brenda J. Porter, who survives.  He was employed by Mapes Woodworking in Whitesville, Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post, NY, and Consolidated Natural Gas for 28 years, retiring in 1997. 

William Gibson of St. Marys, Pennsylvania, formerly from Youngstown, Ohio, passed away surrounded by family on July 28, 2025 at Penn Highland DuBois after a short illness.

He would say that he was a day older than dirt, but he was really 76. Bill was born on October 4, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Francis and Sarah (McLaren) Gibson. Bill graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1966. He then joined the Navy serving as an airplane technician until honorably discharged in 1971. Bill went on to Youngstown State University, earning an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Bill married Gloria (Bossick) Gibson on August 20, 1977 in Youngstown, Ohio, who survives.

Gene P. Cummiskey, 88, formerly of Burnside Avenue, Bradford, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, surrounded by his family at Bradford Manor.

Born January 9, 1937, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Mildred (Beck) Cummiskey.

Gene was a 1956 graduate of Bradford High School. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Marines. He was stationed in Okinawa and the Philippines. He was honorably discharged on November 27, 1959.

On May 16, 1964, at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church he married Frances (Zamberlan) Cummiskey who preceded him in death on October 20, 2011.

Rhoda T. Weimer

Rhoda T. Weimer, 72, a lifelong resident of Roulette, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Monday, July 28, 2025, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a period of declining health.

Robert C. Keck                

Robert C. “Bob” Keck, 92, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a brief illness. 

Born on June 15, 1933 in Austin, he was the son of Charles E. and Marjorie V. Evans Keck. On October 22, 1951 in Coudersport, he married Avis A. Williams, who survives.

Robert graduated from Austin Area School.  He had worked at GTE Sylvania, W. W. Kimmons Construction Company, and Emporium Specialties Company Inc. After 30 years of service, he retired from Emporium Specialties in 1995.

David C. Kronenwetter, 83, of 1239 Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Penn Highlands Elk.

He was born September 13, 1941 in St. Marys, son of the late Roy and Salome “Lovey” Lion Kronenwetter. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1959. From his youth, David had a deep interest in electricity, leading to jobs with both Church & Murdock and Speers, later opening his own electrical contracting business, “Dave’s Repair”On November 9, 1968 in Sacred Heart Church, Dave married Rose Ann Sherry, who survives. They were blessed to share fifty-six years of marriage.

Emery A. Gallup, age 89, of Smethport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Lakeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Smethport.

Born on October 12, 1935, in Smethport, he was the son of Alfred and Mable (Wolf) Gallup. On June 15, 1963, he married Arvilla “Arlie” D. Griswold in Port Allegany, PA. She survives.
