Ten Galeton High School students and two graduate school students have been awarded scholarships from the William and L.R. Gale Community Foundation. The 2024 scholarships totaled $240,000.00 with each student being awarded $3,000.00 per semester. This year’s recipients are:
High School Students:
Maisie Cole, daughter of Rusty and Tina Cole, plans to attend Commonwealth University at Mansfield majoring in Visual Arts;
Sawyer Douglass, son of James and Gretchen Douglass, plans to attend Alfred State College majoring in Heavy Equipment Operations;
Zachary Gingrich, son of Michele Underkoffler, plans to attend Wilkes University majoring in Pharmacy;
John Martin, son of Duane and Amy Martin, plans to attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology majoring in HVAC-R;
Kayla Moore, daughter of Benjamin Moore and Connie Smith, plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford majoring in Nursing;
Grace Morgan, daughter of Scott and Christina Morgan, plans to attend Commonwealth University at Mansfield majoring in Radiology;
Tehya O’Donnell, daughter of Doug O’Donnell and Tamala Cirko, plans to attend Commonwealth University at Mansfield majoring in Secondary English Education;
Zachary Pagano, son of Jeremy and Rachel Pagano, plans to attend Penn State Behrend at Mansfield majoring in Civil Engineering;
Addison Reigle, granddaughter of Billie Jo Klinger, plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology majoring in Nursing; and
Matthew Zur, son of Keith Zur and Jennifer Fisher, plans to attend Slippery Rock University majoring in Physical Therapy.
Graduate Students:
Cara Parsell, daughter of George and Marlene Parsell, plans to attend Pennsylvania College of Technology to receive her Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant; and
Andrew Macensky Jr., son of Andrew and Kelly Macensky, plans to attend Nova Southern University majoring in medicine to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
