On February 17, at 1:57 pm Cuba Fire Dept. was dispatched to 22 Prospect St. for a structure fire.

At 10:45 AM on Saturday, Warren Firefighters have been dispatched to Jack’s Run Road for a structure fire.

The EMS Task Force met last evening to continue our ongoing conversation about how to help our ambulance companies keep running despite growing financial and staffing challenges.

While a recent state law significantly increased the Medicaid reimbursement rate for mileage and services, the group talked about the need for local municipalities to do more to support the cost of readiness – the cost of having an equipped ambulance and crew ready to respond at a moment’s notice.

We also talked about training and staffing, and how to better ensure people who complete EMS training follow through by taking the national certification exam and then put what they have learned into practice.

I want to thank the more than three dozen people who took the time to participate in the meeting and extend a special thanks to Anthony Martin, recently appointed director of the Bureau of EMS within the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Tom McElree, executive director of EMS West. I am equally grateful to our county emergency services directors – Marty Kim in Cameron, Nathan Burgett in McKean and Glenn Dunn in Potter – for sharing county-specific statistics about their call volumes.

On February 17 at 2:38 am Kane Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to Sleepy Hollow Rd. for a vehicle into a house crash.

At 1:04 PM on Friday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to West Academy Street for difficulty breathing.

At 8:10 AM on Friday, Eldred Borough & Twp. Fire Depts & TLC Ambulance were dispatched to 28 Green Acres Lane in Ceres Twp. for a motor vehicle accident with confinement & difficulty breathing.

At 7:41 PM on Tuesday, Morris Fire Dept. & Liberty & Cogan House dispatched to a crash on RT. 15 South.

At 7:10 PM on Thursday, Morris Fire Dept. has been dispatched to a rollover crash with injury on Rt. 414

At 12:15 PM on Thursday, Derrick City Fire Dept. dispatched to Bolivar Drive for a report of the smell of gas in a structure.

At 10:25 AM on Thursday, Roulette Ambulance dispatched to Port Allegany Health Center for difficulty breathing.

At 9:50 AM on Thursday, Lawrenceville & Tioga Fire Depts were dispatched to a 2-vehicle crash on Rt. 287. Caller reports no injuries but the roadway is partially blocked.

At 9:45 AM on Thursday, Coudersport ambulance has been dispatched to Coudersport Fire Hall for a victim of a bicycle accident.

On February 14, at 6:45 pm Coudersport Fire Dept. was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm at the Forestry Building on E. Second St.

At 5:30 PM on Wednesday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to East Honeoye Street for difficulty breathing.

At 5:35 PM on Wednesday, Shinglehouse Ambulance has been called to West Academy Street for a foot injury.

On February 14 at 3:00 pm, St. Marys Fire and Ambulance were dispatched to 533 Brussells St. for a two-vehicle crash with 2 patients with injuries.

At 11:24 AM on Wednesday, Coudersport Ambulance has been dispatched to North Main Street for a traumatic hand injury.

At 8:20 PM on Tuesday, Shinglehouse Ambulance has been called to Eleven Mile Road for difficulty breathing.

At 1:21 PM on Tuesday, Port Allegany Ambulance has been called to Route 6 East for a fall victim.

At 5:30 PM on Sunday, Port Allegany ambulance was dispatched to Catlin Avenue.

Willing Volunteer Hose Company#1 

This morning at 11:29 AM we were dispatched for a Structure fire at a location on State Route 19 in the town of Willing. due to the conditions, We were assisted on scene by Wellsville, Whitesville, Alma, Scio Fire Departments, Andover Fire air truck, Al-51, Willing Police, Wellsville Ambulance, Andover Ambulance, New York State DOT, National Grid, National Fuel, WNY Red Cross and a stand by at our station from Genesee PA Fire Department Thank you to everyone that showed up and gave a hand

Allegany Fire Department 

2/10/24 16:12 AFD was toned for a structure fire on E Main St. Deputy 4 was near the area and reported a working fire. Allegany crews made an interior attack to quickly knock down the room and contents fire. Due to multiple obstructs, Tower 6 had to reposition a couple of times to maneuver around power lines and poles, but eventually made it to the roof and checked for exterior extension. The neighbor was able to make a rescue of a pet dog that was in the room of origin. She needed to be taken to OGH for smoke inhalation by AREMS. One Allegany firefighter was also scene at the hospital for burns to his ear. Several mutual aid departments assisted on scene. The fire was determined to be accidental in nature.

At 11:43 AM on Saturday, Ulysses Ambulance has been dispatched to Hickox-Ulysses Road for a male child run over by a horse.

At 11:34 AM on Saturday, Willing, Wellsville, Whitesville, Andover, Alma & Scio have been dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 1929 SR 19 in the Town of Willing. Responder reports smoke showing.

At 11:10 AM on Saturday, Shinglehouse Ambulance was dispatched to Bell Run Road.

At 10:45 AM on Saturday, Otto Township Fire & TLC Ambulance have been dispatched to a vehicle accident at Looker Mountain Trail near School Street. Bradford City Medic dispatched ALS assist.

At 9:40 AM on Saturday, Friendship Fire & EMS have been dispatched to 6131 County Road 20 for a vehicle crash. MTS on scene reports 2 patients self-extricated.

At 7:20 AM on Saturday, Coudersport Ambulance has been called to Woodland Heights for difficulty breathing.

On February 9 at 2:31 am Shinglehouse Fire Dept. and Ambulance were dispatched to 1892 McCrae Brook for a one car crash. The vehicle off the bridge on its side with possible entrapment and possible injuries

On February 9 at 9:23 pm Port Allegany Ambulance was dispatched to E. Cutler Rd. for difficulty breathing
