At 12:50 PM on Sunday, Mansfield Fire Dept. has been dispatched to Richmond Township for a possible chimney fire. Smoke inside the structure.

At 10:56 AM on Sunday, Roulette ambulance is responding to 1300 block of East Second Street in Sweden Township for a woman ill.

At 8:05 AM on Sunday, St. Marys Fire & EMS have been dispatched to East Joseph Road & Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys for a one-vehicle crash with confinement. A 42 year old female is reported now extricated from the vehicle that is into the guide rails. Responders advised to respond non-emergency.

At 4:01 AM on Sunday, Johnsonburg & Wilcox Fire Depts. & EMS were dispatched to 1709 Old State Road near Johnsonburg for a roll-over crash. No details available.

At 6:19 PM on Saturday, Shinglehouse ambulance has been called to West Academy Street for a “Medical Alert” call for a woman fallen.

On February 3 at 2:11 pm Nelson and Lawrenceville were dispatched to Rt. 49 and Bailey Hill Rd. for a two vehicle crash with one possibly injured. One vehicle is in the roadway.

On February at 1:44 pm Ridgway Fire Dept. was dispatched to the Masonic building in Ridgway for a smoke alarm on the 2nd story

On February 3 at 12:06 am Bradford City Fire Dept. was dispatched for a possible structure fire at West Corydon St. and Moorehouse Place. All units have been recalled

At 12:35 PM on Friday, Shinglehouse & Coudersport Fire Depts. have been dispatched to 58 School Street in the Borough of Oswayo for a house fire with smoke in the structure. Wood stove has set the wall on fire behind the stove. Willing, Genesee, Ulysses & Roulette dispatched.

At 12:22 PM on Friday, Andover & Alfred Station Fire Depts. have been dispatched to a working garage fire at 3893 Swain Hill Road in the Town of Andover. Tankers have been dispatched from Wellsville & Whitesville. Almond dispatched to scene. Nearby house is catching fire as well.

At 11:08 AM on Friday, Bradford Twp., Lewis Run & Lafayette Fire Depts. have been dispatched for a fire alarm at a residence at 92 Willard Avenue ext. An alarm is sounding in the residence reported by the resident.

On February 1 at 11:16 pm Ridgway and Jones Twp were dispatched to Montmorenci and Massachusetts Ln. for a car vs deer crash with a possible leg injury

At 3:19 PM on Thursday, Millerton Fire Dept. was dispatched to Rt. 328 near the Button Hill Road for a vehicle over the embankment.

At 2:45 PM on Thursday, Ridgway Fire Dept. has been dispatched to a tractor-trailer with a cab on fire at School Drive & Bootjack Road.

At 2:41 PM on Thursday, Shinglehouse ambulance was called to Eleven Mile Road for a cardiac emergency.

At 2:40 PM on Thursday, Port Allegany Ambulance has been called to Brooklynside Road for a diabetic.

HARRISBURG – Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) announced he will convene a meeting of the EMS Task Force on Thursday, Feb. 15, starting at 6 p.m. at the McKean County Department of Emergency Services.

Anthony Martin, director of the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services at the PA Department of Health, will attend to discuss efforts to support ambulance companies statewide.

“This is a great opportunity for our local EMS leaders to hear from Director Martin and share their concerns with the Department of Health,” Causer said. “While we are making progress on policies to support our emergency medical services providers, there is still much work to be done.”

Most recently, a new state law increased Medicaid reimbursement rates for ambulance companies across the state. Act 15 of 2023 ties the reimbursement rates to federal Medicare rates and pays whichever amount is higher. As a result, the reimbursement for basic life support ambulance trips increases from $325 to $511.35, and for advanced life support ambulance trips from $400 to $607.23 or $878.88, depending on the nature of the call. The reimbursement for paramedic intercept increases from $80 to $456.19.

The new law also ensures EMS agencies are reimbursed by Medicaid for 100% of the miles they travel with a patient on board receiving care or transport, finally removing the previous exemption for the first 20 miles traveled. The law increases the mileage reimbursement rate from $4 per loaded mile to $13.20 per loaded mile.

The lawmaker strongly encouraged local government officials to join the meeting, as they are critical to finding solutions to help keep emergency medical services up and running.

At 10:49 AM on Tuesday, Roulette Ambulance has been called to 1600 block of Route 6 for difficulty breathing.

At 9:14 AM on Tuesday, Port Allegany Ambulance has been called to North Main Street for syncope.

On January 29, at 2:26 pm Wellsboro Fire Dept. was dispatched to the Wellsboro House for an automatic fire alarm. All units recalled

At 12:05 PM on Monday, Roulette Fire Dept. has been dispatched to 418 West Branch of Fishing Creek Road for a natural gas leak outside.

At 11:34 AM on Monday, Bolivar Fire & EMS has been dispatched to Kossuth Road for possible carbon monoxide gas in a residence. Two persons are experiencing headaches.

UPDATE: Testing showed no CO in the residence.

At 9:48 AM on Monday, Austin Ambulance has been called to Foster Street for altered mental status.

At 9:05 AM on Monday, Coudersport Ambulance has been called to Ross Glen Road for chest pain.
