Bernard F. West, age 87, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

He was born on May 14, 1937 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of the late Myron and Genoa (Thomas) West and was married to the late Myrna F. (Rowin) West.

Bernard served in the US Air Force, was retired from Corning Glass Works, Wellsboro, PA and had also worked as an independent contractor. He and was a member of the Morris Rod and Gun Club, an avid fly tyer and fisherman, enjoyed hunting, gardening and traveling.

Bernard is survived by two sons: David (Beverly) West of Wellsboro, PA, Clayton (Sandy) West of Ulysses, PA, daughters: Debbie Burch of OR, Dori (Larry) Becker of Wellsboro, PA, Frances (Larry) Miller of Gettysburg, PA, sister: Delores (Bill) Broughton of Wellsboro, PA, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter: Patricia West.

A viewing will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 10 to 11 am at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. www.carletonfh.com Wellsboro, PA.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Middlebury Union Cemetery, Middlebury Center, PA.
