Wellsville Police arrested Daniel E. Fronczak, age 47, of Bolivar, charging him with two counts of Exposure of a Person. The charges stem from two incidents that took place on East State Street on May 18th. Fronczak was processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Fronczak was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on June 6th at 4:30 pm.
Ivan “Fred” Wilson III, Bolivar, NY
Ivan “Fred” Wilson III, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023, in the Pittsburgh Veterans Administration Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Fred was a loving husband and father and was always looking for ways to help his family and friends. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and especially enjoyed riding with his son and close friends. Fred could often be found working in his garage and in the yard on his tractors.
Fred was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar, Cuba VFW Post 2721, Macedonia Lodge 258 F&AM Bolivar, Valley of Jamestown Scottish Rite, and United Steelworkers Union Local Olean.
Surviving in addition to his wife Terry are his son, Ivan Fred (Jennifer) Wilson IV, Fort Mill, SC; two grandchildren, Ivan Fred Wilson V and Eva Marie Wilson, also of Fort Mill, SC; two sisters, Debbie (Russ) Gross of Cuba and Patti Wilson of Wethersfield, CT, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM, and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11 AM in the Bolivar United Methodist
Church. Pastors Dawn Quesenberry and Elva Cornell will officiate. Burial, with full Military Honors, will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.

Bradford Woman Arrested After Domestic
On 05/23/2023 at approximately 1922 hrs, City of Bradford Police were dispatched to 22 Walker Avenue for a domestic in progress.
Upon arrival Officers the adult male victim reported that his girlfriend had struck, scratched, slammed a door on him, and choked him causing him to struggle to breathe. Officers observed injuries to the victim including redness and bleeding.
The actor Kati Lee Peterson made admissions to these actions and was taken into custody for domestic violence assault charges. Magistrate Engman arraigned Peterson and released her on $10,000 unsecured bail. Preliminary hearings are set in the matter.

Glenn Robinson, 69, of Haines St. in Kane, PA
Glenn Robinson, 69, of Haines St. in Kane, PA passed away on Friday (May 19) at UPMC-Hamot. He was born in Kane on July 13, 1953, the son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Eck) Robinson.
Mr. Robinson served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for many years and was a pump station foreman. He was called to active duty for Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Lt. Raymond A. Nicolas American Legion Post #250, the Kane VFW Lodge #1132, the Kane Elks Lodge #329 and the Kane Senior Center.
He is survived by two sons, Glenn (Jessica) Robinson II of Reynoldsville and Blake Robinson of White, GA; four sisters, Vicky Cline of Belmont, NY, Joyce Nelson and Sandy Lehman both of Kane and Donna Smith of NM; his girlfriend, Brandie Shugars of Kane and her daughter Selena (Richard Brazell) Shugars, also of Kane and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation which will take place at the Cummings Funeral Home on Friday (May 26) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.

Shirley M. Anderson, 97, of Coudersport, PA
Shirley M. Anderson, 97, of Coudersport, PA passed away on May 23, 2023 at Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. She was born on December 20, 1925, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Thurston David Oliver and Margaret (Youngquist) Melquist. On March 21, 1946, she married Leon E. Anderson in South Pasadena, CA and celebrated 53 years of marriage until his passing on March 31, 1999.
Shirley did clerical work for the Consistory for many years and she also worked for Potter County as an Auditor and in the Office of Aging. Shirley was an active member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and participated in the quilting group.
On September 22, 1947, Shirley was initiated as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Eulalia Chapter 148 at a district meeting. She served as secretary for over 20 years and was named a Secretary Emeritus. She was also a member of the Red Hats, the Coudersport Senior Center, and volunteered with Hospice and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for many years. She also participated in Silver Sneakers and the Senior games in Bradford.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Janet A. Long of Coudersport; Beverly J. (Mac) Gilpin of Bellefonte; two sons, Roger A. (Sharon) Anderson of Virginia Beach, VA; Dale R. (Sharie) Anderson of Coudersport; 11 grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Keefe, Jason, Melanie, Mark, Britta, Crystal, Angela, Bethany, and Dustin, and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a son, David L. Anderson on April 30, 2012.
In her later years, Shirley remained a central figure in the lives of her family. She was present at family events and always ready for the next gathering, traveling when necessary. With a forward thinking mindset she knitted baby blankets as the family expanded. Shirley played games and engaged in conversations that kept her mind sharp and her heart full as she brought joy to many.
Shirley, a true matriarch, modeled staying active within the community by regularly attending church and the senior center. Her faith and prioritization of a rich social life allowed her to stay immersed in everyday life.
Using a daily journal to document major family happenings and ordinary moments, Shirley exemplifies that the fabric of life is knitted together by both. Her legacy will inspire the generations to come.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, 210 N. East St., Coudersport, the Eastern Star Service will begin at 5 pm. On Sunday, May 28, 2023 family and friends are welcome from 2-3 pm at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, 3 Borie St., Coudersport, where her funeral service will follow at 3 pm, with Rev. John L. Kallerson officiating. A private burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery.

Mary A. McFall, 42, of 1554 Haskell Road, Olean, NY
Mary A. McFall, 42, of 1554 Haskell Road, Olean, NY passed away on Sunday (May 21, 2023) from injuries sustained in a vehicle-pedestrian accident.
Mary was born on April 12, 1981, and was the daughter of Jack A. Langdon and Susanne E. Isaman. She was formerly married to Jess M. McFall.
Mary was a 1999 graduate of Hinsdale Central School. She continued her education at JCC where she obtained her associate’s degree in business. Mary joined Vector on May 15, 2001 as a part-time Customer Service Representative, and was promoted to full-time in July 2005. She was also an Administrative Services Representative before assuming her current position on June 16, 2021 as a Cutco Gifting Specialist.
Mary loved attending sporting events with her son. She enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills which she was a huge fan with her son. Mary loved going to St. Bonaventure Men’s Basketball games, Olean Oiler games at Bradner Stadium. She enjoyed jogging and running, working out, vacationing, and traveling to the beach. Mary liked to get her hair, nails and pedicures done.
She enjoyed attending church at Believers Chapel, and going to church functions. Mary loved a good cup of coffee and enjoyed having coffee with her mother on Saturday mornings. Most of all and above all else was her son, Carter, who was the apple of her eye and was her whole life.
Mary is survived by her son, Carter M. McFall; her mother, Susanne E. Isaman of Olean; three siblings, Tracey L. (Robert) Eliason of Bradford, Pa., Anthony J. “Tony” Nevone of Olean and Tom M. (Colleen) Langdon of Bradford; three half siblings, Elaine, Deb and Trishelle and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who she loved and adored.
Mary was predeceased by her father, Jack A. Langdon.
Friends will be received at Believers Chapel, 2000 Constitution Ave, on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Pastor Sean D. Obergfell will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.

2 Free Kayaking Tours this Monday at Lyman Run State Park
Get out on the water this Memorial Day (Monday, May 29, 2023) on a tour of Lyman Run Lake! Look for wildlife, learn about the history of the region, and enjoy being out on the lake on a 1.5 hour guided tour. On past tours, participants have been able to get close to turtles and other wildlife.
The park is offering two free tours: 1 PM to 2:30 PM and again from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. Both tours will meet at the parking lot for the Daggett Pavilion, next to the playground. Open to adults and youth ages 5 and up. Youth under 13 need an adult. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets provided. Life jackets must be worn for the program.
Participants may also bring their own kayaks and gear; any personal boats must have current DCNR launch permit to participate. Permits may be purchased at the park office before the program.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to ensure enough equipment for everyone and to relay weather-related program changes. To pre-register, visit https://events.dcnr.pa.gov/lyman_run_state_park.

Only One Week Remaining for the Supply Drive in Bradford!
Time is running out to contribute to the much-needed supply drive for Destinations- Bradford. With just one week left, the community is urged to come together and make a difference by supporting this vital initiative.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Bradford along with the Bradford Area High School Volunteer Club and United Way Student Ambassadors, the supply drive aims to collect essential items to assist individuals and families facing difficult circumstances in Bradford. These items can include plastic plates and bowls, gas cards, emergency blankets, rain ponchos, shampoo, body soap, soap containers, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, nail clippers, combs and brushes, laundry detergent and all-purpose cleaner, and more. The goal is to ensure that the recipients have access to the necessary resources to meet their basic needs.
“The support we have received thus far has been truly inspiring,” said Steve Morgan, Rotary President, “But we encourage everyone to keep up the momentum and continue making donations. Your contributions can make a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community.”
To participate in the supply drive, interested individuals and organizations can drop off their donations at the designated collection points across the city. These collection points are conveniently located at Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce – 62 Main Street, Bradford YMCA – 59 Boylston Street, and CARE for Children – 723 East Main Street- Bradford, making it easier for the community to contribute. Residents are also welcome to make monetary donations, which will be utilized to purchase additional supplies or cover any specific needs that arise during the distribution process.
The supply drive will conclude on May 31st, providing one final week for individuals to rally together and make a lasting impact on the lives of those less fortunate in Bradford. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will contribute to building a stronger, more compassionate community.

Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., explore the waterfalls along the lower Turkey Path on your quest to unlock the geologic secrets of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.
The one-mile round trip hike up about 400 vertical feet (half way) of the trail will be led by both park staff and professional geologists from DNCR’s Bureau of Geological Survey.
The hike begins at the base of the canyon, where the Lock Haven Formation is exposed. These rocks were deposited approximately 380 million years ago as sediment on the edge of an ancient sea and contain fossils of marine organisms. As the hike progresses, the exposed rock will be progressively younger and transition into the shoreline and alluvial plane deposits of the Catskill Formation, effectively transporting participants through time and space of the geologic history of the gorge.
This program is well-suited for those curious about the ancient past of the gorge and those willing and able to complete the strenuous hike.
Registrants will meet by 9 a.m. in the Darling Run access parking lot for the Pine Creek Rail Trail and be bussed approximately 3.5 miles to the base of the trail below Leonard Harrison State Park where the program will begin.
To get to the Darling Run access parking lot for the Pine Creek Rail Trail from Wellsboro or Galeton, drive on U.S. Route 6, turn onto Route 362 and go about 1.5 miles to Darling Run in Ansonia.
After a brief introduction, the group will climb slowly, learning along the way to a point about half way up the path and near the upper waterfall.
Participants should wear proper footwear and layered clothing for the hike. A small backpack, water and snacks are also encouraged.
The deadline to register is by next Thursday, June 1. Spaces are limited. Those interested can register by calling 570-724-3061 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on week days and this Saturday and Sunday.
Judith “Judy” M. McKimm, 82, of Emporium, PA
Judith “Judy” M. McKimm, 82, of Emporium, PA, passed away at UPMC Cole on Tuesday morning (May 23, 2023) following a brief illness. She was born August 3, 1940 in Ridgway, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Bernice (McCoole) McKimm.
Judy moved to New Castle, PA at a young age and attended Union Township High School where she graduated in 1958. After graduation, she worked for the Edinburg and New Castle Post Office as a clerk and retired in 1992 after 32 years of service. She enjoyed her retirement by traveling and spending time with family and eventually moved to Emporium, PA to be closer to family. She enjoyed traveling, butterflies, crosswords, was a fan of watching bicycle racing, the Olympics, and was an avid reader.
Judy especially will be remembered for her spunk and carefree attitude. She loved making others laugh as often as she could and will be missed very much.
She is survived by a sister, Betty Lou McKimm-Oberlander, Emporium, PA; two brothers, Dale McKimm, Emporium, PA and James (Beverly) McKimm, Aztec, NM; nephew Randy (Stephanie) Oberlander, McSherrystown, PA; great nieces, Samantha (Brock) Oberlander-Barton, Jacksonville, FL and Breanna Ullman, Osceola, PA; great great niece Everleigh Barton and great great nephew Easton Barton of Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bernice McKimm, and brother-in-law, Sam Oberlander.
There will be no visitation. At her request, there will be no services, and family will have a private memorial at their discretion.
Burial will be in the North Bend Cemetery, North Bend, PA.

Dorothy was born on July 25, 1934, in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of Wilfred Grant and Bessie McConnell. Dorothy is survived by her son Bryan, 5 granddaughters, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers Gary and Philip. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Dorothy was a medical transcriptionist for over 40 years with Watson Clinic, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed doing puzzles and attending garage sales with her sister.

Joseph P. Bonavita, 58, of Clarendon, PA., died Friday afternoon, May 19, 2023, at his residence after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born January 3, 1965, in Warren, PA. Joe was the son of Patricia Broderick (Bonavita) and Joseph A. Bonavita. He has resided most of his life in Warren and was formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., Erie, PA. He attended Warren Area High School up until his senior year. He was a 1983 graduate of Jamestown High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Germany until he was honorably discharged. After the Army, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator and also was a contractor. He then became a cross country truck driver, driving for numerous companies, until his health wouldn’t allow him to continue driving. Joe was an avid musician and would play in establishments while he was on the road driving. He loved a wide range of music, from Heavy Metal to Blues. He was a talented guitarist and drummer. He was an avid dog lover.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kyrah Mohney, Sarah Sanders and her husband, Tyler, his mother, Patricia Broderick of Warren, PA., his father and stepmother, Joseph A. and Karen Bonavita of Aiken, S.C., Granddaughter – Quinn Mohney, Grandson – Brantley Sanders, Uncle Sam Manno, Aunt and Uncle, Mary, and Jim Muntz, 3 cousins, Jessica, Jake, and Zack, and his pug, Rocky.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas “Tommy” Bonavita who died February 11, 2022, Aunt Peg Manno, Maternal Grandparents – Paul and Beatrice Songer Broderick, Paternal Grandparents – Thomas and Antionette Minon Bonavita.

Roxanne F. “Roxy” Boyd, 65, of Austin, a former longtime resident of Coudersport, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, May 22, 2023, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on Tuesday, May 6, 1958 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of Harry and Inez Shaw Setzer.
Roxy was a graduate of Coudersport High School. She was employed by Adelphia Communications in Coudersport for many years and later was employed by the Coudersport American Legion. She was last employed as the manager at the Austin Vets Club until her health declined.
She was an active social member of the Coudersport American Legion and also an active social member of the Austin Vets Club. Roxy loved spending time with her grandchildren and making all of her “pumpkins” laugh. She loved being the life of the party wherever she went.
Surviving are two children, Donny (Kelli) Snyder of Roulette and Lacey (Colt) Vasko of Austin; seven grandchildren, Vincent, Ashli, Zackary, Mia, Addison, Layla and Brylee; several great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Carol (William) Krog of Coudersport, Janet Setzer of Coudersport, Louise Setzer of Coudersport, Jerry (Jane) Setzer of Connecticut, Ronald Setzer of Austin, Terry Setzer of Austin, and James (Vera) Setzer of Austin; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ashley (James) Matteson of Coudersport.
In addition to her parents, Roxy was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Setzer and Duane Setzer; a sister, Vickie Setzer; and two sisters-in-law, Roxanne Setzer and Victoria “Vickie” Setzer.

At 1:12 PM on Wednesday, St. Marys Fire Dept. & EMS have been dispatched to Keystone Powdered Metal at 251 State Street for tractor-trailer crash into the guard house. A Natural Gas line has also been severed in the crash.

Closure of Allegany County Road #23 in the Town of Rushford
Please be advised that Allegany County DPW will have daily road closures of County Road #23 between SR 243 and Pratt Road intersections from May 30 through June 1.
The road will only be closed during working hours and will be opened back up for use at night and on the weekend. There will not be an on-site detour and motorists are urged to seek alternate routes. Thank you for your cooperation.
