Anthony S. Guido, 88, of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois hospital.
Born on May 27, 1934 in Tyler, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nancy (Cataldi) Guido.
On September 30, 1961, he married his wife of 61 years, Margaret A. (DeLullo) Guido. She survives.
Tony was a veteran of the United States Army.
He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors and went on to graduate from the Dickinson School of Law with honors.
Tony was an attorney for over 60 years. He was a partner in the Law Firm of Hanak, Taladay and Guido. Prior to that, he was in private practice.
He was a member of the State of Pennsylvania Bar Association as well as the Bar in Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk Counties. Tony was the former Campaign Chairman and President of the DuBois Area United Way, former Board Member and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the DuBois Hospital, former Advisory Board Member of Vines Country Club, Fort Myers, FL, former member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Dubois Country Club and a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion.
Along with his wife, Tony is survived by four children; John A. Guido and his wife Kelly of Flint Hill, VA, James P. Guido and his wife Dianne of Jupiter, FL, Mary Meredith and her husband Paul of DuBois, PA, and Margie Guido and her husband John Hawkins of Alexandria, VA, five grandchildren; Hannah, Weston, Liam, Erin and Renee and one sister Joann Segalla of Weedville, PA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family strongly suggests that memorial contributions be kept locally and made to a charity of the donor’s choice in the DuBois area.

Ann V. (Adamson) Erney, age 92, of Mansfield, PA, died on Friday, December 16, 2022.
She was born on March 15, 1930 in Frackville, PA, a daughter of the late David and Florence (Mockaitis) Adamson. She was married for 66 years to the late Arthur D. Erney who passed away on March 13, 2017.
Ann was a member of the Wellsboro Art Club and enjoyed painting, reading and arranging flowers.
She is survived by three sons: David (Lynn) Erney of Moorestown, NJ, Bob Erney of Wildwood, FL, Chris (Jacci) Erney of Accokeek, MD, daughter: Susan (Michael) Cummings of Mansfield, PA sister-in-law: Marilyn Adamson of Sellersville, PA, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.
Ann was predeceased by a brother: David Richard Adamson in 2011. A
family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donald “Don” Francis Young, age 88, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was born on December 10, 1934 in Wellsboro, PA to the late Francis A. and Margaret (VanOrder) Young. Don was one of five brothers and was married for 43 years to Faith M. (Gorda) Young.
Don served in the US Army traveling to many different countries. He spent his working life as a carpenter and a mason, working on many homes and barns in the local area including his first home.
Don cherished both of his sons—teaching them to hunt and fish and spending many hours in the woods. He loved spending time with his wife, Faith, driving through all of the back roads of PA and NY looking at nature and spotting wildlife from rattlesnakes to bear. They spent many years together building rock walls and gardens on their property. In his spare time in later years he hand-crafted intricate and beautiful bowls from tree stumps leaving a legacy of beauty.
Don is survived by his wife: Faith M. Young of Wellsboro, PA, sons: Matt Young (Kristen) of Boonsboro, MD, Joel Young (K. Sue) of Wellsboro, PA, two brothers: Robert Young (Jackie) of Williamsport, PA, and LeRoy (Sue) of Wellsboro, PA, three granddaughters: Laura Young of Bristol, VA, Samantha Young of Auburn, AL, and Claire Young of Wellsboro, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Eugene, and Andrew, and his first wife Sylvia Carlson.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Wellsboro, PA.

12/16/22 19:52:50 Crary Hose, Chatham Township, and Sabinsville Ambulance were dispatched to 7624 Route 249, Westfield Township, to the scene of a snowmobile accident, 1 vehicle 1 patient. Aeromed was dispatched but declined due to weather. Squad 5-18 with Rescue UTV 5-28 and Engine 5-3 responded. Upon arrival, personnel found one patient approx 200 yards from the road in a field. Patient had struck a tree and other debris in the field at speed. Dept 5, 17 and 26 Ambulance personnel performed primary trauma assessment, packaging, and moved the patient from the field to Ambulance 26-7 and Wellsboro ALS. Patient was transported to Robert Packer via ambulance.

Theodore Gundlah, 85, of Chestnut St. in Kane, PA passed away Wednesday morning (Dec. 14) at the Lutheran Home at Kane. He was born on April 16, 1937 in Hackensack, NJ, the son of the late Arthur and Myrtle (Brower) Gundlah.
Mr. Gundlah attended Union College and received his graduate degree at George Washington University. He served in the US Army as second lieutenant and completed the Officer Candidate School at Ft. Sill, OK.
Mr. Gundlah held the position of Hospital Administrator/CEO at the Olean General Hospital for over 30 years and in his retirement worked with the OGH Foundation. The Gundlah Dental Center at the Olean General Hospital was named after him.
He was a professor at the University of Tampa and served on the Olean Chamber of Commerce and the Smethport School Board as well as volunteered for the American Legion and other charitable groups.
He is survived by his life partner, Sandy Johnson of Kane; one daughter, Melissa (David) Hintz of Granger, IA; one son Christopher (Deanna) Gundlah of Strongsville, OH and four grandchildren, Adam and Lindsay Gundlah and Sara and Spencer Hintz; a sister-in-law, Carol Gundlah, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sonja Covert; one sister, Florence Keating and two brothers, Robert and James Gundlah.
Friends may attend a memorial service, which will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Eppley and the Rev. Heather Glogau, officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairmont Cemetery in Smethport.

Cleo P. Mascho, 92, a lifelong resident of Bolivar, NY passed away under comfort care on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Cuba, after a long illness.
Born on Thursday, March 27, 1930 in Portville, he was a son of Harry L. and Josephine Curtin Mascho. On September 24, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia, he married Leona Jean Sherwood, who survives.
Cleo attended school in Bolivar. He was self-employed, owning and operating Mascho Contracting in Bolivar. He was also employed as a heavy equipment operator in the shipping department for the former Clark Brothers in Olean.
Cleo was a former member of Macedonia Lodge #258 F. & A.M. in Bolivar. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing and repairing guitars. With his love of music, Cleo was a member of the former Happy Tom and Country Way Band. His greatest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years; five children, Terry D. (Donna) Mascho of Bolivar, David C. (Melinda) Mascho of Bolivar, Daniel L. “Dan” Mascho of Westons Mills, Vicki L. (Randy) Rossman of Olean, and Timothy A. (Michelle) Mascho of Friendship; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Cleo was predeceased by a grandson, Bryan Timothy Mascho; three brothers; and five sisters.
In keeping with Cleo’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Cleo will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery, Little Genesee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a chapter of the American Cancer Society of the donor’s choice or to the Cuba Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit, 140 West Main Street, Cuba, NY 14727.
