PennDOT to Reduce Part of Phoenix Road to One Lane Tomorrow
Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Potter County Maintenance Division announced it will reduce part of Route 1005 (Phoenix Road) in Pike Township to one lane tomorrow due a slide condition that has worsened during the early spring thaw and recent significant rainfall that has saturated the slope.
E. Anne Meehan, 95, of 10211 Regent Cir, Naples, FL, and formerly of Ridgway, PA, died on Friday, May 23, 2025.
She was born on July 27, 1929 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of the late Edward A. and Ellen C. (Lawler) Lynch.
On May 14, 1955, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Castle, she married Paul C. Meehan, who preceded her in death.
Stephen A. Winiarczyk, 91, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Elk Haven Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
JoAnn Dudash, 83, of 440 Eben Road, St. Marys, passed away with her family by her side, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born September 2, 1941, in Emeigh, PA, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Buterbaugh Clark. She spent her childhood helping on a 150 acre dairy farm the family purchased in Westover, PA.

Patricia Ann “Patty” HAMILTON, 63, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Ulysses, died Monday, May 26, 2025 in UPMC Cole, Coudersport. Born November 29, 1961, in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of William K. and Shirley Freeman Hamilton.
A 1980 graduate of Northern Potter High School, she was a member of the Ulysses Free Methodist Church, Ulysses Area Improvement Association, and Tri-Town Volunteer Firemen’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Roberta Lynn Hamilton. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. Murray K. McComas died peacefully at the age of 88 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. He was born in Warren, PA on December 3, 1936, to Donald Emory and Edith Knabb McComas and grew up on Central Ave. in Warren. Murray was known to many for his eternal optimism, sly grin, bone-crushing handshakes, and his penchant for loud pants.
Roxanna L. Wright Marino, 73, of Warren, PA., died peacefully, Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home, after an extended illness. She was born August 13, 1951, in Titusville, PA. Roxie was the daughter of Robert and Eleanor Johnson Wright, a native of Grand Valley, PA.
Roxie was a Warren area resident for the past 50 years. She was a 1969 Graduate of Youngsville High School and earned an associate degree in bookkeeping from Bryant and Stratton College of Buffalo, N.Y. Roxie was employed as office manager at the Conewango Club for 25 years and the past 5 years, she has worked at Northwest Bank. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church and was a church usher. She was a member of LiveStrong. Roxie was a loving and amazing wife, mother and grandmother, she loved visiting her granddaughter in North Carolina. She enjoyed gardening, especially her houseplants, she believed in and collected angels.

Elizabeth “Betty” Plotts of Coudersport (formerly of Port Allegany) passed away on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, at Sweden Valley Manor.
Born on January 25, 1934, in Matoaca, Virginia, she was the daughter of Edwin E. and Marjorie Perkins Long. On November 27, 1952, she married Robert Klesa who passed away on July 19, 1954. On July 23, 1955, she married James Plotts who survives her.
The Port Allegany School District Annual Service Awards Banquet was held Mary 22 at the Veterans Memorial, Inc. Musical entertainment was provided by John Meade. The banquet was catered by Eddie’s on Main. MC for the evening was elementary teacher Chad Saltsman. Those honored were Josh Wolf, Kiley Wojewoda, Robert Tarbox, Samantha Perry, Ben Palmer, Tim Morris, Crystal Kio and Holly Childson with five years; Christina Fessenden with 10 years; Sue Speed and Deborah Kio with 15 years; Brad Stewart, Matthew Lawton and Brad Stewart with 20 years; Todd Wheaton and Tabatha Dart with 25 years; Brian VanGorden with 35 years and Frank Roller with 37 years. Retiring this year are Frank Roller and Brian VanGorden.

Esther M. Auteri, 94, of Bradford, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at her home.
She was born on October 19, 1930 in Lewis Run; a daughter of the late Noey and Mary Zamberlan Franco.
She was a 1948 graduate of the former St. Bernard High School.
On April 11, 1959 in the former Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church she married Joseph Auteri who preceded her in death on January 10, 2018.
Karlie R. Hint: Loving Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister
Karlie R. Hint, 20, of Friendship, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Olean General Hospital after a long battle with cerebral palsy.
Born on September 15, 2004, in Olean, she was a daughter of Joshua Hint and Amber Blouvet Greene.
Karlie was a student of the Belmont BOCES program where she flourished and enjoyed spending time with her classmates and teachers. She loved music, bells, her stuffed Gator, snuggles with her mommy, and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
