Anna M. Peterson, 80, of Russell, PA., died Monday morning, May 5, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA., after a brief illness.

Anna was born December 11, 1944, in Greensburg, PA. She was the daughter of Frank and Carmella Sciabica Mignogna.

Anna was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School, Greensburg, PA., and earned her bachelors of elementary education degree from California University of Pennsylvania. She was employed for 28 years, with the former K-Mart. Anna was a former member (with her husband) of the Stateline Draft Horse Club.

She loved camping, sitting around a campfire with her family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church.

Anna is survived by her 2 children – Christina L. Burns of Sugar Grove, PA., Mark Peterson and wife, Nikki of Russell, PA., 3 Grandchildren – Jessalyn Peterson-Palmer (James), Leah Peterson & Maxwell Peterson – and several nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Murray Martin Peterson, who died December 4, 2023, whom she married January 22, 1966, in Greensburg, PA., 2 brothers – Michael and James Mignogna.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6 to 8:00 PM at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA with Fr. Mark O’Hern, Pastor, officiating.
